“Not worth the boat trip across the water.”

The Other Side Restaurant
Ranked #144 of 165 Restaurants in Dalyan
Cuisines: Turkish
Description: This is a new restaurant recently opened on the far side of Dalyan's River where the ancient tombs are located. It is a restaurant where you get a complimentary boat over to the venue. It specialises in freshly caught fish, seafood and Turkish style entrees. Though basic it is superb and definately not for the British Egg & Chips brigade. It is owned by Kardak Tourism who run successful tourist excursion all over the region and the restaurant is highly recommended.

The food was very average. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed. However I would not go back and if I had read the reviews I would not have gone in the first place.

Since we repeated the boat trip of the previous year, we took a packed lunch, knowing this was to be our lunch time destination. Nothing had changed. We had hoped not to be reduced to our packed lunch, but alas, this was not to be! The food was once again dire, with the added interest of a cloud of insects around the tables. Its a shame. The restaurant looks nice, but again, I and a fellow guest had to pick up three plates from the buffet before we found a really clean one. Not good.

Free boat trip was nice but the food was terrible! It left a bad taste in the mouth for the whole rest of the evening. Unable to leave there.

Visited as part of a Kardak (?) boat trip & included in the price but as we were afloat & famished so no option but to stay there (or swim back!?)
The water melon was under a wasp attack (as were nearly we). The waiter wiped his nose & then cut the bread.
Looks great (particularly at night under the tombs) but other than that not my cup of tea. Avoid or take wasp killer or sarnies.
