“Hidden Gem!”
Reviewed 18 July 2014

Lindos Pension really does have it all - a fantastic location across from the Lycean Tombs, friendly hosts, good food and a delightful garden. Being on the river, it is possible to take a public boat straight to the wonderful Iztuzu Beach (return trip is around 3 euros).
Levent and Pembe are the perfect hosts - attentive but never obtrusive and Levent's good English makes everything easier. Also, the resident cats roam the garden and make the guests feel welcome too.
Don't miss the evening meal which is served on alternate evenings - the food is the best in Dalyan and you can watch the lights come on the spectacular tombs as evening falls.
Whether you just want to chill or be more active - kayaking, biking, swimming - this lovely place will keep you happy!

The wonderful and brilliant Lindos Pension ...in the heart of beautiful mother nature kissed Dalyan. As recommended by the Rough Guide (one of only a handful in Dalyan ... despite their being hundreds of options).

It truly is Turkish Delight!

Run by the "amiable" (Rough Guide description!) Levent Sunger and his wife Pembe. This is the perfect friendly, family-run guesthouse, which is set in an orchard overlooking Dalyan's beautiful lake.

They have 10 double/twin rooms and one family room ... making it an lovely ... relaxing holiday in a spacious garden and lake/ river setting. At great rates, and a family feel ... you instantly have a smile on your face when you arrive and stay. You do not feel "on top of each other" and have recommended over 10 friends/ families over the years and ALL have just loved the place and region.

You can enjoy swimming in the lake and using his free canoes.

Home-cooked evening meals, are available for those who wish every other evenıng (A MUST! and a complete STEAL!)
This is my eleventh year in a row that I have visited ... this time for a month!

Dalyan Region
There's plenty of things to see and do in Dalyan, it's a superb area of natural beauty not to mention the breath taking lycian tombs!

.
Boats to the wonderful beach at Iztuzu can pick guests up directly from our dock, or alternatively it's a 15 minutes ride by shared minibus.

The town of Dalyan saw a quick rise in tourism as word got out that forgotten jewel was situated right in the middle of one of the world's most rare and bountiful ecosystems. To be in this splendid corner of nature which took thousands of year to develop while facing the ancient city of Caunos is indeed an unforgettable experience. Nature and history offer a bouquet of wonders in Dalyan.

Registered as a Nature Reserve in 1988, it was saved from uncontrolled housing development and population growth. Thankfully, the ecosystem consisting of the Köyçeğiz Lake, the Dalyan River, the Delta and Iztuzu Beach maintain a status of preserved abundance.

Levent organises daily tours through our local agents to nearby sights such as Ekincik Bay, Bacardi Cove, the mud-baths at Ilica, the colourful weekly market at Koycegiz and the 12 islands of Gocek.

He also arranges his our own visits to the springs and riverside restaurants at Yuvarlak Cay, Saklikent Gorge and Olu Deniz ... always a lovely treat.

This is a complete gem. As is the Turkish family.

It truly is Turkish Delight!

Room Tip: Levent hires bikes. A keen biker himself ... they are almost semi pro bikes and the best in town.

As soon as we arrived at Lindos Pension we were greeted by the wonderful owner Levent. He guided us through the beautiful gardens with grape vines hanging above and you are met with the most beautiful view across the Dalyan river and directly opposite the Lycian tombs. It totally took our breath away and you immediately knew we were in the right place. We have stayed in many big hotels which are often very busy especially at meal times, staying here was, peaceful, calm and very very relaxing. This is the sort of place I would imagine a novelist to stay, where he/she can be inspired by the surroundings. Breakfast is served sat right next to your gorgeous view and is continental style, both healthy and fresh. Nothing was ever too much trouble, levent is always there for you to answer and questions about the surrounding area. We took up the offer an evening meal at the Pension, three nights out of our seven day holiday which were homecooked and amazing. To sum it up, if you want to totally get away from it all, relax and take in the beuty of this magical part of Turkey, then this is for you!

This place is just beautiful! The river view, foods (bi-daily served), owners' warm hospitality and eveything else that this beautiful place offers will not be easy to forget. If you visit Lindos do not miss the opportunity and spend sometime with its owner Levent and his beautiful family.

This pension has two great things about it. Firstly the location - directly opposite the rock tombs and facing straight onto the river. The views are stunning day or night. Secondly Levant the owner is fantastic. He is attentive without being overbearing and his wife is a fantastic cook. Make sure you have the home cooked diner when it is on offer, you won't be disappointed. Breakfast and the complimentary afternoon tea was good too.
We stayed in April at the beginning of the season and had the place to ourselves for most of the week. It was chilly in the evenings and rainy a couple of days but having an open fire to sit in front of made it feel cosy. Levant would chat if we wanted to and he is a great source of local knowledge. We really felt like we learnt something about the country, which isn't always easy to do as a tourist. Nothing was too much trouble for him, including guiding us on a walk through the Forest down to the beach for lunch - highly recommended.
Our teenage children loved having use of the two canoes - they could just potter about on the river keeping them (and us!) happy. And of course there was wifi provided, even if You Tube was banned while we were there!
The rooms are basic but kept spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water.
We will definitely be returning!

people come from all over turkey to see the Lycian tombs on the river at Dalyan, and i cant believe I sit there each morning and evening with the best view in the house. This is a fantastic pension run by the wonderful Levant and his family. Nothing is too much trouble, the rooms are spotlessly clean, prices very reasonable and if you're lucky enough to be staying on one of the nights when they offer an evening meal, I suggest you take up the offer. Ive eaten there 2x and both meals have been excellent and as good as you would get anywhere else in dalyan but without the views. you wont be disappointed if you book this place

This is a delightful place in all ways. It has a fabulous position among citrus and fig trees right on the river facing the ancient rock tombs but just a short walk out of the centre of Dalyan so very peaceful. There is a bar, loungers,a hammock and tables for (delicious) meals, including complimentary afternoon tea and biscuits, literally beside the water.
You can swim from the deck and a variety of water toys and a couple of canoes are provided.
Owner Levent is charming, funny and looks after every need, even wrapping us up in blankets when it got chilly eating by the water at night.
I'm going back!

Room Tip: 8, 9 and 10 are upstairs so have a view. 10 has 2 double beds(round the corner from each other so f...
