View from our room was grotty, although the balcony at least looked over the garden. We visited a few weeks before the hotel closed for the seaon and we felt like intruders as most things were stacked up outside. I got shouted at by the owner who was standing at the door of the hotel for daring to speak kindly to a lovely friendly starving (and I mean starving) dog out on the road (not on his property), the staff then threw stones at the dog to get rid of him when they thought I was out of earshot.
When I got home I realised within a few days that an antique opal & diamond ring bought for me by husband was missing from my jewellry pouch that was always locked in my room. I didn't wear it every day. I have learnt my lesson, I would never bring jewellry of any worth on holiday again.
I would never set foot in that horrible place again.

Club alla Turka is a lovely hotel with a fantastic pool and walking distance into town. We had a room which didn't overlook the pool which was good as we had a fantastic view when sitting on our balcony, albeit in our creased clothes as the only downfall of the hotel is they do not provide an iron due to "health & safety", this is not mentioned on their website, probably because you're not meant to use your own travel iron, you can however use the laundry service, at a cost.... There was also no kettle, first hotel I've ever been in without either. Saying this though, we will definitely revisit as the hotel was beautiful, great location and the staff were helpful (especially the handyman who sawed off the lock on my case after it got damaged) a lot of other guests we spoke to said they have visited for several years and it's easy to see why. Great choice hotel - definitely worth booking

Arrived at the end of the season and was blessed with exceptionally warm, sunny weather. Turned up at midnight and although the bar was shut was shown to a lovely clean comfortable room. After a quick walk into town for a nightcap we made it back along the dark road and settled down into a lovely comfortable bed and woke next morning to a glorious day. I could go on about the weather but the hotel was really lovely- pretty , clean, friendly staff, great pool (there were only 6 other guests so no problem getting a sunbed!! ). All in all a lovely stay and would definitely come back - maybe September which apparently isn't too hot or busy.

This was our first time to Dalyan. I chose this hotel because of the good ratings and we were recommended by Thomas Cook.
We went for 11 nights and had a room on the first floor not overlooking the pool so it was facing the trees and unfortunately didn't have much sun at all. This would be fine in summer as you would prefer it cooler but we went in October and the first few evenings and mornings were quite cool. I would recommend Block B or C if you don't want to be too near the pool bar which is open in the evenings and I would go for a 2nd floor room facing the pool next time.
The room was quite small but reading up about Turkey, most hotels have smaller rooms than some other destinations. It was very clean and had everything we needed - good sized wardrobe and shelving, room for suitcases, a sofa, desk and a TV which we only used to catch up with the news. The bed was a good size and had 2 pillows each. The only thing is that the top sheet was quite small and is traditional in Turkey but when it was hot, it wasn't a problem. A few days were chilly and we had to have a blanket too. The balcony was quite small with white plastic chairs and table and a big air con unit which did get in the way but if you want air con.... The shower room was an adequate size and the power shower was great. They replaced the shower gel and shampoo although we took our own too. There is also adequate room for cosmetics etc by the basin. No robes which I think would be a nice touch and I would expect them with a 4 star hotel. Also no tea or coffee making facilities or even just a kettle which really is a pre-requisite of a 4 star hotel. Another one we looked at in Dalyan had this and more so Club Alla T - please introduce this!
The pool area was really lovely. We sat by the pool in different areas and there was a lot of choice. Yes, the were a few Germans there and yes, they did the towel on loungers before breakfast routine but there were many to choose from so it wasn't a problem. I can imagine in high season it could be annoying! There are areas away from the pool with hammocks and loungers so that you can have a more peaceful relax away from any children that might be running around the pool area.
Food - we were on half board which I would not recommend. The breakfast buffet was very good indeed and a good choice. Cereals, fruit, cheese, cold meats, salad, bread, jams, honey and hot food - boiled eggs - well boiled!, fried egg, scrambled, spicy sausage, tomatoes with cheese,Turkish pancakes, crepes, eggy bread and made to order omelettes which were superb. In fact you don't need lunch after this breakfast so dinner at 7pm we felt would suffice.

Dinner was a bit of a disappointment. There was a choice but too much choice and we felt that it was quantity and not quality. We did have to mention it as if you don't then they don't know. I don't believe it moaning without saying something. The plates were cold, the food was semi-hot, including rice, pasta and even the chips. We like to try traditional food and we didn't really want chips, potatoes, pasta etc but the choice of meat was not good and badly cooked. Most meat was tough or gristly. The fish was freshly griddled and was ok but full of bones. In the end we would have a salad with some cheese most nights. There was a very large choice of puddings too but again, nothing really good - all had a good appearance but not really having substance. It must be improved as it was not 4 star food and that is why we have only given it 3 stars. We ate down in Dalyan twice and it was lovely. The wine in the hotel was quite expensive but that is what you find in hotels. The service was also a little sporadic. They like to take your plates away too quickly saying "Finish?" and there were not many smiles. Someone did mention that they had changed staff this year and it was noticed that they were not as friendly and attentive and that the quality of food had gone down.

The customer service person at the hotel - Moyra was very helpful. The Thomas Cook rep was not! I had researched what trips we should go on and I asked about these and was recommended booking through the hotel for one - The Lemon Lounge and we booked the others through Kaunos Tours in Dalyan itself.

Dalyan was only about 10 minutes walk from the hotel and was a lovely walk by the river unless there was powercut when you need your torch or Iphone torch! There are so many trips to go on but we would recommend: Koycegiz Market, 12 Islands, Ekincik, Discover Dalyan which included a mud bath (don't forget to take an old bikini or trunks for this). You must go the Turtle beach too which can be done by water taxi in 30-40 mins or by Dolmus (bus) in 20 mins. Both ways are good as they drop you at different ends of this very long beach. You can hire a parasol and loungers for around £3 for the lot. The sea is very calm and lovely and sandy underfoot. There are changing rooms, loos, showers and places to eat at the beach. The trip by boat is lovely and relaxing.
We will be returning to Dalyan and are thinking about Club Alla Turca but on a B&B basis. We must mention the cleaners at the hotel who were very efficient and very friendly. The hotel should be proud of them.

2nd trip to daylan , first to club alla Turca, group of 8 of us, lovely hotel with comfortable rooms with balconies, fairly small and compact with a lovely pool but what made it was the food, simply amazing choice and presentation for breakfast and evening meals, we normally eat out for a couple of nights but didn't here. The staff were all welcoming and helpful. It is about half mile to town down the riverside walk but as we sent most days on boat trips it gave us exercise !!
Tips. Rooms overlooking pool are probably best, order drinks at pool bar and take to lunch or you will get a surcharge. If in a group 6 or 8 negotiate your own boat down at the town.
Feedback for hotel, minor really, we had one really stormy day. It would have been nice for hotel to have laid on coffee as you got drenched even walking To the rooms. Overall highly recommended. Dalyan exceptional dosent feel like a tourist resort laid back no hassle, amazing place.

This was our second visit to Club Alla Turca, having travelled a week earlier than last year. The hotel grounds and pool are lovely - very well kept and clean. Our room (325) was on the top floor at the side of the building, with views of local villas and distant mountains, but partly obscured by a tree. The room was modern and completely different to the Turkish style rooms on the lower floors. Unfortunately we could not watch the flat screen television because of terrible reception - we reported this several times and the engineer said he couldn't do anything about it - this is only a small point but we do like to keep up with the world news even when we are away on holiday!

Another point worth mentioning is that the Turkish style sheets on the bed are single size and therefore only covered the top of our kingsize bed, which resulted in some uncomfortable nights, especially as the weather was unusually cold for the time of year (5th September to 7th October). We were eventually given extra sheets towards the end of the holiday which helped.

Our worst complaint however has to be the standard of food this year. Breakfast is good, with lots of choice and freshly cooked eggs, lovely omelettes, pancakes, etc., and although the buffet style evening meal is beautifully presented, we found that some of the meat dishes (particularly beef and turkey) were inedible. This is certainly something that the management should look at before next season as many guests were complaining.

There is a lovely poolside bar at the hotel (this is the only bar in the hotel), but unfortunately many people ventured into the centre of Dalyan in the evenings, mainly because of the high cost of drinks in the hotel. The management should consider lowering the prices, or perhaps have a 'happy hour' to encourage people to stay around the hotel bar in the evenings. Perhaps some evening entertainment might also help.

There are many positive reasons to stay at Club Alla Turca - good location near the river 15 minutes walk along the beautiful riverbank into Dalyan (somewhat spoilt by stray dogs wandering around sometimes in packs). The hotel is kept immaculately clean and the staff are very helpful. Make sure you stop at the nearest local bar to the hotel (Sevgi Gozleme) which is by the side of the river - it has to be one of the most relaxing places we have ever visited - and the view of the mountains at the other side of the river is breathtaking. We had lunch there on several occasions and were very impressed. They even supply bread to feed to the fish swimming nearby in the river! Well worth a visit and highly recommended.

Although we were a little disappointed this year, particularly with the food and the weather, we will certainly be back. Dalyan is a lovely town and the people are generally very friendly and there are some great local trips to the beach, both by boat and bus. The ruins of Caunos are also well worth visiting - get the local rowing boat across the river (quite an experience in itself!) and walk about 30 minutes through the local countryside to the ruins. On the way back you will be expected to have a drink at the local cafe by the river before your return journey on the infamous rowing boat!

Let's hope the weather is better for us next year!

Room Tip: Request a pool view.
