“Great hotel at a great price”
Reviewed 4 July 2013 via mobile

Great location and clean rooms with extremely friendly helpful staff and a very nice complimentary breakfast. The owner was wonderful and made arrangements for us for anything we wanted to do while in Dalyan. I would stay here again.

I booked this hotel for my son and his girlfriend as a 'base' to stay that was close to where we were and I'm very pleased I did. They had a nice room, partially looking onto the river which was clean and met their needs. Delay's with transfers caused a late arrival (after 11pm) but Ozy was still happy to get food arranged for them which was so appreciated., Also, very tasty...apparently. Breakfast is 'typically turkish' from my son's description. He's very food fussy so couldn't really comment...am sure it was lovely, it certainly sounded so! This is a nice hotel in an amazing location right on the river and only a wee stroll away from the main shops, bars etc. And very in-expensive, would definitely book here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a river view

I had an unexpected stay in Dalyan, and found myself at the Hotel Palmyra.
First thing to say is the rooms are a little basic but very clean. They have Wi-fi, important to me as I was on a business trip.
The staff are fantastic, friendly and genuinely make every effort to make your stay enjoyable.
The hotel is not a large one so the service is very personal, something I like.
The food was great, I had the fish ( sea bass ), but the menu is varied and everyone seemed to be very happy with their choice.
The hotel was quite busy when I stayed, mixed nationalaties, Germans, Brits, and Scandinavians mostly.
The single best feature of this hotel is its location, WOW, sit right by the river, have a beer , or a meal, and watch all the boats potter by. It is a perfect spot... really.

The location couldn't be better. Right near the waters' edge but also only about 5 minutes' walk from the town centre. The staff were very friendly throughout and also very knowledgeable giving lots of information about places to go and see to both guests and non-guests alike. The rooms are quite small and the facilities are rather basic but clean and sufficient for most guests' needs. Given the price of the rooms, the accommodation still represented fantastic value for money. Breakfast was a good selection of traditional Turkish foods and the being able to eat in such a great location near the river was an excellent start to the day. We would definitely go back again, no question.

the hotel has a great location on the river and close to bars and restaurants. it is a basic hotel but the rooms are clean. the cleaner comes everyday and the towels are replaced every three days, but you can request fresh towels earlier if required. although there is a fridge in the room you can't bring food or drink in from outside which was a pain. the breakfast was adequate, bread, jam, honey, cheese, cucumber, tomato, some fruit and some pastry items, water and tea. unfortunately you can't eat the breakfast in your room either. the room we were in had a partial view of the river but predominantly overlooked the next door restaurants garden which was a rubbish tip...not a pretty sight. we ate in the restaurant once, wasn't great there are far better restaurants to eat in within a short walking distance. the staff were friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: if all you need is a cheap hotel to sleep in at night this could be the perfect hotel for you, if yo...

Stunning position on the river (and absolutely no mosquitoes in May when we were there). The breakfast was outstanding. The first room we were put in was filled with the bad smell of drains, (apparently an ongoing problem at the hotel) with the "partial" view of the river spoiled by the piles of rubbish and building rubble seen from our balcony. We were moved to their very best room as they weren't busy which had an amazing view down the river. The whole place is tired and shabby, and the old uncomfortable beds certainly need replacing, which is surprising because this was the start of their season. There is a large roof terrace which could have been fantastic but they obviously weren't planning to use it this year..

We stayed only one night at the Dalyan Palmyra Hotel but definitely enjoyed every minute of our stay. Thanks to OZY, we got on a boat trip right after our arrival, had a wonderful dinner by the seaside and the best breakfast of our whole trip along the Turkish west coast. He really went out of his way to make us feel at home.
