Lovely clean and friendly development. Apartments are very basic and I wouldn't even attempt to self cater in it! The bedding is also very minimal but adequate. The pool area is lovely although we went in May and it was still fairly quiet. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly with my boys aged 7 and 9. It's a pleasant 15 minute stroll into the town centre - a small resort but with plenty of eating places on offer along the riverside (where you can watch and feed the turtles). There are some wonderful day trips from Dalyan and I would recommend the river taxis to Turtle Beach (we also took the local dolmus a couple of times).

We stayed here in late September for two weeks and had an amazing holiday. The apartments are split over two sites, on different sides of a quiet road, both have a pool. The quieter and older apartments have a small pool. The newer, a larger and noisier pool with music and a bar/cafe plus reception.
The apartments are clean, good value for money and ours was large, you pay a bit extra for air con. We didn't find the beds to be that comfortable and were kept awake at night sometimes by lots of barking dogs. As my husband said, it should be called Dogyan, not Dalyan! Dogs are a perennial problem in Dalyan but they don't detract from what is a beautiful place.
Dalyan itself is around 10 minutes walk from the Sahin apartments, or you can take the free minibus if you're feeling mega lazy. The centre of town is a series of streets set back from a main square where the mosque and river taxis are. There are dozens of taxis, some are called 'public taxis' and these are generally cheaper. There are also private excursion boats which are more expensive unless there is a large group of you.
We also travelled by Dolmus and these are just by the mosque.
We caught river taxis to Iztuzu beach and saw turtles on the way, we also travelled to the beach by dolmus. The dolmus takes you to one end of the beach, the river taxi to another end. Beach is fab, but watch out for wasps! they didn't bother everyone but they seemed to like me despite all the mozzie cream I was slathered in. talking of which: use the local one called Sin Kov. Chanel no5 it isn't but I wore it for 2 weeks and had no bites at all.
If you want to do some walks and go off the beaten track, buy 'backways and trackways' a by Alan Fenn, a local, you can get it from the bar next to Sahin apartments, just ask at the bar. All profits go to a local school. We did about 4 or 5 of the walks and on most of them, met absolutely no one apart from the occasional farmer. It was amazing and we had a few good adventures thanks to this book.
Dalyan is a wonderful place especially if you look beyond the main shopping streets and loud Brit style bars. There's a lot to see and just behind the main drag, there are Turkish cafes, men playing backgammon, and a bigger taste of real Turkish life. Don't forget the market at the weekend or a river taxi to Koycegiz market on Mondays which is also fab.
I can see why people come back here time and again.

Room Tip: depending on what time of year you go, if you are after quiet, opt for the older style apartments wi...

My partner and myself stayed here for a week in august, firstly very hot,air con was welcome, still 30 degrees at night, which you have to pay extra for although very cheap, the apartments are very basic, but clean and tidy,we ate out most of the time and food at the apartments was cheap and freshly coooked, the market on a saturday morning in the town is a must,a fun morning, lots of bargins and fantasic friut and veg!!
We did the lazy gulet cruise with thomas cook, well worth the money full day, lovely lunch great swimming and a cooling sea breeze.
The water taxi to turtle beach is worth doing at least once as its very busy, all in all we enjoyed our week at the sahin, great if you want a no thrills week in the sun,but for us next time a little more comfort.

Room Tip: The apartments across from the reception are much quiteter, the pool is less busy and you take your o...

Just arrived back from Dalyan. We stayed at these apartments as we wanted a self catering experience. As we booked last minute we had the only available room which was a two bedroom apartment, being only two of us this was more than adequate. However, the double bedroom had plenty of wardrobe and shelving storage but the twin room had nothing other than two beds and a bedside table, making this awkward to unpack if any more of you went. The rooms were clean and towels were changed regularly and the staff were very friendly. We used to use the swimming pool over the road in the annex building as this suited us better. However, beware of the people who go into town or whatever and leave their towels on sunbeds for hours unused! Would definatley go back to these apartments as the position from the centre suited us as we like a stroll.

Room Tip: The annex building for a quieter time as probably not suitable for children in these rooms.

we have recently arrived home from a trip to dalyan and stayed in these appartments. We stayed in the appartments away from the main pool and resteraunt area, the rooms were large but could do with some updating. We had nowhere to sit in the main room apart from the chairs at the table as our sofa was used in another appartment used by someone else in our group for there bed,we had 2 tables in this area where our friends did not have one.The bathroom is a good size but the shower is quite a experience it is like a wet room and does not have a screen and the shower hose as a mind of its own so everywhere gets very wet and slippy. We never unpacked as there was not alot of space to hang your clothes and only had a small cupboard in the bedroom. The aircon is cheap and you can leave it on all day which is great after you have been out in the heat.We spent our time round the smaller pool and some days there was only us there so that was great, there were not many beds there and only 3 brollies but they did get us some beds when we asked them.Only ate there twice as on our first night we got loads of mossie bites. They provided a free shuttle service into town twice a day which was great as it is about a 10-15 minute walk into the main town. Our holiday was spoilt by other holiday makers being very loud banging doors and cupboards most of the day and even though the doors did stick a little we managed to close them a lot quieter. We went on a boat trip which was organised for us by one of the staff and was great as ther was only our party on the boat(9 of us) we had a bbq luch and was taken down the delta to the beach and to see the turtles past the tombs and to a lake where we moored up for a swim was really great and it was only 270 tl (about £100) between us all well worth it.We did enjoy our stay here but would have been better if we had not had noisy neighbours and the mosquitos on a night .

Room Tip: try to ask for a room that isnt on the bottom floor although it is convient the rooms are large and...
