Situated in beautiful gardens on the outskirts of Dalyan, the Garden Pension offers a peaceful retreat with exceptional hospitality. Cathy and Ergun will make you feel very welcome in their well thought out pension which lots of guests return to year after year and recommend to others. The pool is huge for the number of guests and there is never a problem getting a sun bed. The gardens are beautifully planted with lots of shady sitting areas and a small bar. The rooms are basically equipped and spotlessly clean. Our bed was very comfortable and the generous verandah meant that it never got too hot.
Breakfasts are simple, fresh and served in the garden by friendly and courteous young staff who are always willing to help. Well prepared and tasty light lunches and snacks are available until mid afternoon. On one of our days, we had the pleasure of eating freshly made Turkish pancakes, as a special treat.
One of the highlights of our visit was Osman's boat trip organised by the pension. Not to be missed, it offered great enjoyment and great food and was a good opportunity to get to know our fellow guests better, see turtles, swim in crystal clear water, visit the ancient site of Kaunos and even have a mud bath! We also enjoyed a hotel barbecue that was equally good and also gave the opportunity to socialise if you wanted to.

Its a 20 minute walk into Dalyan so we used the hotel bikes a few times. Some local restaurants will also collect you. The choice of restaurants in Dalyan is excellent and views over to the Lycian tombs, floodlit at night are beautiful and atmospheric. The main street in Dalyan is a little brash and noisy but you can easily stay clear of this if you want.
The only negative thing is the mosquitoes so come prepared with your repellent!
We'd recommend the hotel without reservation.More
