“The best place on earth”
Reviewed 12 August 2009

I can't recommend this place highly enough. We simply had the best holiday. The garden pension is stunning - i just kept saying 'oh my god oh my god' when we arrived. There's every type of plant you can think of - lillies, banana plants, palms, borgonvillia, morning glories, sunflowers.. it just goes on and on and makes up such a beautiful setting that you'll never want to leave. We didn't and can't wait to go back.
The food was fab - the biggest breakfast ever with lovely fresh fruit, cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, boiled egg, mountains of bread and home made jams.. and then a dip in their spectactular pool before deciding what to do for the day.
Our hosts Cathy, Ercan and crew were wonderful - they organised a fantastic boat trip with Osman which took us to all the various sights of the area at a relaxed pace and a little off the beaten track than the other local tripsm and then they cooked up the biggest and best on board barbeque imaginable. We had a fantastic barbeque night at the pension - the food was amazing - I'm craving the aubergine salad, fried chilli and yoghurt and the barbeque meat and the baklava - and again masses of it.. followed by some drinks, some music, some dancing and some games. Wonderful.
Oh and our rooms were great too. Really spacious, great shower, great view over the garden, spotlessly clean. Couldn't have asked for more: they even gave us bikes to get in and out of town with at no extra cost (it only takes a couple of minutes and it's worth being a bit out of town to gain the tranquillity of the setting - wouldn't have swapped for anything)
THANKS AGAIN and we'll be booking our next trip soon :)

This was our 3rd stay with Cathy, Ercan and Taylan and we could never be disappointed here. We met up with a lovely couple we had met 3 years ago who were also on their 3rd holiday there and I'm sure we will all be back again before too long. Spotlessly clean, fantastic pool and gardens, lovely breakfast and fabulous company if you want it or peace and quiet just to be alone if you're not feeling sociable. Just perfect.

You can say what you like about the Dalyan Garden Pension because there is nothing to dislike! Our stay in July was just like being at a two week house party where all the guests turn out to be friends you have yet to meet. All of this was due to our splendid hosts Cathy and Ercan, not forgetting Yamur and Sophia who do everything they can to make sure your stay is welcoming and as relaxing as it is possible to be. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the generous 'Village Breakfast' certainly sets you up for the day. The fabulous garden provides a wonderful setting where you can chill out by the pool, find a quiet spot in the shade with a good book or maybe a snack for lunch or if you have been out for the day, then later catch up on events chatting at the bar, sometimes into the small hours. An absolute must is a boat trip with Ercan's friend Osman and the weekly BBQ is definitely not to be missed. Good food, good wine and good company in a fantastic setting - we could not have wished for anything more. 'Biz tekrar yakinda olacak harika bir tatil icin Cathy ve Ercan tesekkurlur'.

I just had to write a review for Dalyan Garden Pension...what an amazing holiday we had….due to a combination of fabulous hosts Cathy, Ercan and Taylan, wonderful accommodation, great guests who were staying at the same time as us, beautiful weather and Dalyan itself….
Hmmmm where to start? Those who stayed at the same time as us will know we had a bit of a passport trauma on arrival and Cathy and Ercan helped out immensely with organising us!! From reporting it to the appropriate people, to allowing us to use their phone to call the High Commisson and Ercan managed to organise a flight for Bren to get to the Embassy in Ankara, for a very reasonable price.
Once that was sorted, we had the most wonderful time, the pension is an absolute haven, we were in one of the new rooms, with an amazing view of the garden and mountains….what a way to wake up in the morning…as people have mentioned previously, all food provided was to a very high standard and breakfast was a lovely leisurely way to start the day and catch up with others for a quick chat and see what the kittens were up to…particularly Nelson…a very special one! Our room was very spacious and kept immaculately clean, great power shower with nice hot water! The gardens are beautiful to chill out in, round the pool or lazing in the hammock, it was easy to enjoy total relaxation here, it seems to attract lots of different people but all with the same way of thinking.

We had some great evenings catching up around the bar for a few drinks, the odd game of Cards, Pictionary…(I think Taylan, Ann and I are the current winning team!) and Backgammon. Or just kicking back in the outside lounge area……..Oh know I am going on, but I have to say this is one of the most enjoyable holidays I have had….really didn’t want to go home!

Oh and DO go on Osman’s boat trip and DO opt for the BBQ to be included, what a fantastic day out. Also if you get a chance, pop into the Dalyan Iz: Art gallery and café, gorgeous little place for a browse and homemade lemonade. The bikes provided by the pension are great too...

The hotel boasts a beautiful pool set in attractive gardens, Cathy,Ercan and the team are superb hosts and the overall ambience is wonderfully relaxing.
We are just back from a 2 week stay and wish we could have stayed longer.!
From the huge turkish breakfast in the mornings through to the late night buzz around the bar , this small hotel delivers a great holiday experience.

We only had a few days here but enjoyed our stay. the room was small and basic but clean with a big enough shower room. this is no way a five star hotel but it doesnt sell itself as one and the cost is very reasonable. what makes it is the other people who are staying and the owners friendliness. if you like mixing with people ie like a ski style chalet enviroment, then you'll like it here. it is quite a walk to and from town so would deff recommend taking advantage of the bikes. if we go back to dalyan would stay here again.

Lovely pension set in lush semi tropical garden, huge pool. Rooms are very clean, beds extremely comfortable and the bathrooms are excellent - no having to hold the shower head with one hand!
It's a 20min walk into town, but you can use the pensions bicycles for free (road is quiet and safe). 10min walk to the road to catch the bus to the beach. Being right on the edge of Dalyan, the location is extremely peaceful - no traffic or nightlife noise, just birds and insects.
The owners, Cathy and Ercan, are wonderful - really helpful and fun. The cook is amazing - do not miss the weekly BBQ, it was the best meal we had there by far and the atmosphere was more great dinner party than awkward social gathering. The young lass who serves breakfast is very sweet and funny, and boy can she dance!
Breakfast is huge - bread, cheese, olives, fruit, eggs, coffee and the best home made jam you will ever taste!
I would return to the Dalyan Garden without hesitation, and would heartily recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing peaceful holiday.
