“Turkish soul”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 June 2014

After staying with a large group of people in Dalyan for 4 weeks in a far more expensive hotel,I needed a simple Turkish hotel to refresh my soul.I found it here at the Donmez hotel. It is one of the original Dalyan hotels and as such the rooms and pool are small but the service here far outweighed that of the superior rated hotel I had just left. The bathroom was cleaned everyday and fresh towels and bedding supplied. The Turkish breakfast refreshing and the hotel personnel warm and welcoming.

Helpful, friendly, low key, relaxed, clean, safe. What more can I say? I got a great deal with Lowcostholidays, all of the facilities are exactly as stated.

I was at the back of the hotel, on the ground floor and initially concerned at the poor lock and the window without bars but realised that actually this is such a safe and friendly place, I need not have any concerns. I paid a small amount for a safe in the lobby for my valuables. The wifi is free and reliable.

The breakfast (cheese, bread, tomatoes, olives, eggs, tea, orange squash) served on the rooftop terrace was reliable, the pool was always clean and the staff are helpful and laid back. The hotel is less than 30m from the river and less than 10m from the main street, but quiet and relaxed. There's a bar with comfy seats at the front, great for reading and watching the world go by. Walking distance to anything you might need, e.g. bus stop or boats for trips around the area.

I went in September, there weren't may people at the hotel, it was hot, but not so hot as to need air con. Dalyan was busy but not heaving.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a low key relaxing stay in Dalyan.

from 9 nights at the Donmez, Great little hotel everythings allready been said, wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. I don't think there can be a better value hotel in Turkey.; our first room allocation was a little disapointing but we asked for a move, there was no problem and we were moved the next day.

Room Tip: first floor is better than ground floor room 106 is a little pokey

What a great hotel, staff are so helpful. The rooms are a bit small but clean and tidy and also have a tv in the rooms now.
For the price it's excellent .
Breakfast is spot on as well.
The location is right in the centre of Dalyan.

Stayed at the Donmez for 2 weeks in September. The Donmez is located right in the centre of Dalyan, but just far enough from the bars so that you are not troubled by noise. It is very close to the river and some rooms have views towards the Lycian tombs.

This hotel is a bargain (around £10 per night for a double room). The price includes a lovely Turkish breakfast on the roof top, with as much tea and coffee as you like. The rooms are super clean and cleaned daily. The only thing to be aware of is that the rooms are very small (there had to be a drawback!). However, there is a wardrobe and dressing table to store your things in, so as long as you are tidy it is fine!

There are other rooms at the front of the hotel which are bigger but they are 40 Euros per night.

Though we prefer the beach, there is even a swimming pool!

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms have a better view and optional a/c. One or two even have a view of the lycian tombs...

Stayed here for 3 nights and can't find a fault with it. An absolute steal for £5 per night each. I would not hesitate to book this hotel if i ever decided to return to dalyan. Rooms are basic but if your looking for a cheap hotel room you shouldn't really be expecting any different.
