What a lovely place. We had a fantastic time at Kilim. You could not hope for a more relaxed or charming place. Swimming in the pool, enjoying a glass of wine or watching the enormous turtles swim by in their river garden before jumping in to join them- it really was magical. Maybe we were lucky with our fellow guests but reading comments in the guest book would suggest not. Becky and Emrah have created a truly convivial place in which to unwind and chill. Travelling with our 1 & 2 year olds can provide challenges. In Kilim, we were overwhelmed by the kindness of both Becky and Emrah towards our kids but also the other guests. We even managed an hour or two by the pool just the two of us!. Good breakfasts, lovely and unforgettable experience.

Room Tip: We had a large family room. They are basic but large and clean.

Think this was our fourth visit to the Kilim, and now that were back home we've already started looking at flights for late Sept / Oct for another visit there before the season is over. This hotel is just so special, and it's all down to Becky and Emrah and their small team and the guests who just keep coming back time after time. It's the hotel equivalent of the idealised village pub where you're never short of friendly company, good food and entertainment. We will definitely be going back again next year. Can't get enough of it.

Room Tip: We have always stayed on the ground floor - all are good.

This was our first hotel in Turkey this time and a very, very pleasant experience. The rooms were good, the garden nice, the pool lovely, the location superb but its standout quality is its attitude: friendly, easygoing, helpful. I loved the help-yourself bookcase, and especially the fact that in the reception area and at the bar there were bowls full of bottles of left-behind suncream, mosquito repellent and other products. How helpful and green is that? Instead of chucking away perfectly good stuff, they're making it available to other travellers. Couldn't have been more useful to us, as we'd forgotten our repellent and there are mossies here. (We left three of our towels behind here, by mistake, a bit annoying for us but I like to think they'll be sitting in the hall ready for travellers who've forgotten to pack their towels). Other big plus points: the garden opposite the hotel has a deck directly opposite the most amazing rock tombs from which you can swim in the silky warm river, or just relax. Don't miss the huge Nile River Turtles that hang around the deck in the morning - huge excitement for us (we also enjoyed seeing a very cheery and frisky hedgehog in the garden).

Room Tip: Our room was a family room for four. The only slight downside to it was that it was really two room...

My first visit to this fabulous hotel was five years ago, so although I knew the place it was still a long time away.Any thoughts of this trip not being as good as the last time quickly vanished as I stepped into the garden of the hotel and was met by the welcoming genuine smiles of Becky & Emrah. They say "Less can be more" but not to write a review would be an injustice to Becky & Emrah's hard work in ensuring all their guests are relaxed and well tended to. All guests are treated equally and invited to all the trips which are amazing. We joined in scuba diving, and the moonlight river trip. (When attending any boat trip it is nice that they pick you up and drop you off at the jetty so no walking or coach trip to the venue) Both very enjoyable and affordable. The hotel this time had the welcoming addition of air conditioning which we were very grateful of, especially early on in the holiday whilst we adjusted to the heat. The hotel has been " tweaked" in a few areas for the benefit of guests, and the additional accommodation across the road next to the river allows for more guests.Whilst we were there the hotel was full most of the time but the place remained peaceful and relaxed, we (the family) one day had the pool to ourselves all day as the riverside accommodation has an area set aside with sun loungers, shaded relaxing cushioned area, a jetty to swim and fish off,and a wonderful view of the ancient Lycian tombs that date to 400B.C. Carved into the rock face in a vague grid-like formation. At night when they are lit up they look absolutely magical.Oh, nearly forgot and very nice to see in this day and age an honesty bar! The hotel rooms are very clean, comfortable and the family rooms are large. When you eat at the hotel the food is always fresh, plentiful and very very tasty! Recommend attending the hotels BBQ's they do a fish BBQ or a meat BBQ both equally scrummy.Becky & Emrah are well supported by their staff, all are very polite happy smiling and willing to help. They go about their business in a relaxed unobtrusive way, and seem to have the knack of knowing when the best time is to clean your rooms, and if anything is left by the pool they seem to know who it belongs to and simply leave it in your room. The Kilim hotel and Dalyan is a very safe place for all, in fact during our stay a woman returned late to the hotel in a panic because she had left her handbag in a restaurant. Becky reassured her that if staff found it it would be there tomorrow. Sure enough it was, locked in the safe with all it's contents intact.I have to say the Kilim hotel is a very very nice place to stay for anyone, I/we will return and a lot sooner than our last five year gap. Becky & Emrah thank you very much for a fabulous holiday.

Our first trip to Turkey and starting our stay at this hotel set the scene for a very special holiday in Dalyan. Becky & Emrah have created something very unique which goes way beyond the fabulous location, great food, comfortable air-conditioned rooms & lovely clean pool. They made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived & consequently felt relaxed within minutes of dropping our bags & sipping our 1st drink in the bar! We also joined them on a couple of trips which were fantastic & meant our 16 year old could tie up with other teenagers. Becky & Emrah run a tight ship & work so hard but still manage to appear relaxed & are both such genuinely nice people who bring soul to this hotel - something which was definitely lacking at another hotel we had booked to stay in later during our trip. They also have a riverside garden across the road so spent the 1st day lying on the sofa adjusting to the heat, looking out across the river at the rock tombs - how good is that?! Lovely, lovely hotel but more importantly lovely lovely owners...... Will definitely return.

It was our first trip to Dalyan and this hotel could not have been a better choice. Becky is an amazing host and really made our stay very magically - if you could bottle what she has it would be worth a fortune !!! Our room at the back of the hotel was very large and comfortable. The aircon worked well and so did all the plumbing - good strong shower with no shortage of hot water ! The room was clean and not fussy. It was nice to have a little balcony providing a bit of private outside space. For me the absolute amazing thing was the riverside terrace, we had some wonderful days sitting in the sun, it was peaceful and magical, with wonderful views of the famous caves and lots of boats going by. Swimming in the river was a real treat. There are lots of wonderful cool otterman style sofas where you can chill out with a glass of wine and meet people from all over the world. With only 16 rooms its intimate enough to get to know people without being too over powering. We had lunch a couple of times and the food was excellent as well and being amazing value. The daily special was very very very good. We invited friends for lunch one day and we had THE most amazing time. The staff set up a table on the riverside deck with out any fuss and looked after us so carefully and gracefully, it could not have been better. It was also really great having the honesty bars by the pool and also by the river so that it was easy to get a drink any time of the day.It was very difficult leaving to come home and after a short stay of 5 days I felt that it would be somewhere I would always want to return to. It felt like a second home - Becky Emrah and Adem you do such a wonderful Job - thank you - we WILL be back !!!!

In these days of 21st century travel where we as a generation are so priviledged to be able to see so much more of the world, than our predecessors did, it was a marvel to happen upon the Kilim Hotel.
Created and operated in a seamless and effortless manner by Emrah and Becky and their staff, it was a magical destination for an informal, relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable break. Lovely setting, divine food and even the Turkish amaretto gets top marks.
So much more than the average hotel and travel experience, I urge you to try it for yourself ....
