We recently spent a week at the Fora Apart Hotel in Datca. It's in a great location, close to the beaches, transport, restaurants. It can be a bit noisy at night, but we closed the windows and doors and used the a/c which made a big difference. The curtains are quite sheer which means the bedroom is very bright at night from the street lights and then the dawn light which does not make for an ideal night’s sleep! If I could suggest one thing to the hotel it would be to provide heavier duty curtains in the bedroom – it would make a big difference to the overall comfort. We had an apartment with a balcony overlooking the beach and street. The view was quite nice but the apartments higher up probably have a slightly better view.
The apartment was clean, simply furnished but very spacious and quite comfortable. The kitchen is really just a bench with a kettle and 2 plate cooker, plus a small fridge, kettle and a few pots, pans and glasses and crockery (all in good condition), which was adequate for our needs as we didn’t cook any meals. The TV and wifi worked well and there's a/c in the living room and bedroom. The bathroom is also spacious. There's a good hairdryer and even a dryer to hang out bathers and washing. Unlike some places we’ve stayed, we had everything we needed. Breakfast is traditional Turkish, but we enjoyed the brown bread and honey!

We booked directly through the website and the response and help we received from Anil both before and during our stay was exceptional. All the staff are friendly and helpful but Anil is the only one who speaks English very well. He found out about buses to Kusadasi for us. He also gave us a lot of advice on the best places to visit and organised a hire car for us (the Tourist Information office is hard to find and the lady tried to help but couldn't speak English, also they didn't have a town map). We relied on Anil a lot!

Datca is a fabulous town with a nice vibe. It's very Turkish, has plenty of good restaurants, friendly people and beautiful beaches right on your doorstep. The Datca peninsula is spectacular - rugged and unspoilt. It was the highlight of our 2 month visit to Turkey. We almost want to keep it a secret and would hate to see it get too touristy! We hope to return one day and would definitely stay again at the Fora Apart Hotel.

Room Tip: Beach-facing rooms can be a bit noisy. The hotel recommended a quieter room on the opposite side, however, we wanted a beach view and the street noise wasn't bad at all.

Good hotel near everything. Walking distance to restaurants and beach front of hotel. Free parking. Nice staff. Breakfast was typical turkish hotel breakfast, not good, not bad but avarage. Value for money.

We arrived later on in the day in Datça after taking a ferry in from Bodrum. The receptionist showed us both a hotel room as well as an apartment room. We settled into the apartment room and enjoyed the larger space in comparison to most of the other places we had previously stayed in. Breakfasts were good with a wide selection of the usual that one gets in Turkish hotels. The only negative aspect was the air conditioning outflow pipe that had not been installed professionally. A pipe ran from the wall unit into a water bottle that overflowed onto the floor while we were sleeping. Other than that everything was pleasant about our stay. The restaurants and beach for swimming are all just a few metres away from Fora as well as the supermarket. The Saturday market was a great experience and we really did enjoy our stay in peaceful and unspoilt Datça. Thank you to the helpful and kind staff for making it a memorable time of rest.
