A surprise find in this 'off the map' little village. Semra, the owner, obviously has three passions: people, food and jazz. The food was excellent and typically Turkish (go for the meatballs) and the jazz is in the background made for an interesting combination. She's an excellent hostess too.
The restaurant faces the harbor.

We have just returned from a two week sailing holiday to Turkey - more specifically - the Bay of Hisaronu. Two restaurants stood out from all the others.
The first was Le Jardin de Semra in Palamut and the other Captains Table in Sogut.
Semra and her staff were warm ,friendly and professional - this is a very well run ship ! However , not only was the food way above the standard yachties fare , the hospitality was exceptional. The wind was pumping at 30 to 40 knots so we we spent two nights at the safe and pleasant little harbour in Palamut. On the second day Semra organised a taxi for us to Datca as we had missed the Dolmus. The taxi couldnt take all six of us so she very kindly offered to take two of us with her as she was going that way anyway !
This was Turkish hospitality at its best - as we have found over many years of sailing the Lycian and Carian coast.

We arrived yesterday with our Cyclades 50 and met this wonderfull place called Le Jardin de Semra. Here we had the chance to meet Semra the owner. This lovely woman turned this place into heaven!! Last night we had dinner with the view of the full moon rising over the mediterranean what an amazing feeling and on top of that the food is superbly done. We also had a wonderfull dinner because of Baris this wonderfull man who served us all night. I called him Baris the good man. Baris is also a professional barman. I recommend this place 100%

We moored in the small marina at Palamut and had been told that Le Jardin de Semra was the best restaurant of several that line the quay. We made a reservation for 5 families and were not disappointed. Semra runs the place efficiently, but friendly. The food and wine were of a high standard, in particular given that Palamut is a small fishing village where you wouldn't expect this. Because Semra found out that it was my birthday that day she offered the birthday cake, a large tiramisu tart, free of charge at the end of the meal, candles included.
The food is sourced as much as possible from local sources. The steaks are particularly tasty and tender and come from a friend who raises cattle in the region. The restaurant has its own vegetable garden from which many herbs and vegetables are collected for the kitchen.
There is a large outside area and our large party was seated on a long table, one for the kids, one for the adults, in a shaded side terrace, away from the other diners.
We'd go back anytime, given the excellent food and (Turkish) wine, the nice and cosy atmosphere and the exceptional warm welcome.

After eating tons of fish and sea food Semra's place was a nice change. Before you begin your amazing dinner, I suggest that you should drink Barış's ( the bartender) perfect Mojito made with the limes and mint from their garden. For dinner just try the steaks! The food is so good that you even don't mind how much you pay for it. It's an expensive place that's for sure but but i think it's totally worth it!!
