We did the Tongariro alpine crossing & grabbed an awesome deal on GrabOne.

The room was cosy, the service was good & the onthehouse dinner, lunch & breaki too just hit the spot. The facilities were great, & i felt comfortable the whole stay.

Good job team:)

We also had a Grab One voucher for the Tongariro Crossing Package.
Found the Hotel owners very friendly and helpful with local knowledge of the area.
The breakfast, lunch package and dinners were tasty .
The spa was a very big welcome for our tired muscles after the trek.
As it was summer and very warm I would suggest that a fan is placed in the upstairs bedrooms as even with all the windows open it was a tad uncomfortable sleeping, not a problem in winter time as it would be very cosy and warm.
Would return again and would recommend this hotel.

We stayed here with a GrabOne Tongariro Crossing and it was fabulous. The room was great with a super comfortable bed. The Manager, Chris is very friendly and the 2 breakfasts and dinner provided were fantastic. The room was quite warm at night but wonderful after a hard days trekking. The spa was great to soak away those aches and pains. We would recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely stay again.

Room Tip: It is worthwhile getting the upgrade to a deluxe room.

We just stayed here for a 2 night tongorirro crossing package, and we were very impressed. The room was warm, cosy, comfortable and had a great bed. Loved the set-up, and the spa was great. And the food was excellent - me and my partner are vegan and always feel a bit bad travelling around nz with our dietry requirements, but the owner here was happy to accommodate and offered great alternatives. Awesome overall, will definitely be back :)

We had a enjoyable time at theTussock grove. The rooms were very comfortable and well presented. Chris was really helpful with anything needed. All the food was fantastic, best pancakes and the packed lunch was unbeatable. We came to do the Tongoriro crossing which was cancelled due to weather, but enjoyed the "Old coach road" track. I would recommend this place to stay.

Had a very pleasant stay here, with my partner and some friends. We were here to walk the Tongariro Crossing. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by the owner Chris and made to feel welcome. Our room configuration was a little strange being upstairs and downstairs. The bedroom was upstairs and downstairs had a small table and tea/coffee facilities and the bathroom. As we did not spend a lot of time in the room it was not a problem. The bed was very comfortable and the whole place kept clean. We enjoyed sitting in the lounge and talking with Chris and his wife.

As we had a special deal with a voucher site (Grabone) we thought the whole package deal was fantastic. This deal was for two nights stay with one dinner and two breakfasts plus the transport costs to Tongariro and a packed lunch. The meals were good, as I am a vegetarian, Chris was very accommodating to my needs. I would definitely recommend this place to stay if you want to do the crossing or to ski in the winter months.

It was lovely to have a spa and wine after walking for six hours!

The owners are very knowledgeable about the area and are happy to help you plan your day.

This is some way from what most people would think of as a boutique hotel; much more a cross between a motel and a B & B. Rooms comfortable and well-apportioned. Food really not very good, eat in village (though note limited opportunities and need to book best place). Packages offered not well-organised.
