Well we could not have asked for a better place to stay upon our arrival in New Zealand, having made the decision to emigrate from the UK we could not have asked for a warmer welcome Ginny is awesome so welcoming and helpful. Ginny and everyone at the guesthouse helped us out more than we could have expected and we will always be grateful for such a warm welcome to a new country.

As for the Guesthouse itself our room was fantastic the place is so very clean and tidy and the hospitality is really what makes the place. There is space to store your things and a great communal area for speaking to other guests if you want to..equally privacy is easy to come by in this big house. There is a kitchen to do your own evening meals if you like. Its a quick walk to town and the beach, in fact the location was so good we now live around the corner!

Timaru is great and if your coming this is the place to stay.

Thanks again Ginny and everyone at the guesthouse.

Louise and Rob

This was our first stay at a 'B&B' in NZ. What a pleasant surprise.
Our Hostess was lovely, welcoming and friendly.
Our room ... WOW a four poster! and the room has been lovingly furnished, as has the whole house. Next time we stay, I do hope we get another room though, because ironically, as welcome as the four poster looked... it's the hardest bed I have ever 'slept' on!
We really enjoyed our breakfast, choices of cereal, toast, and spreads, and then a cooked breakfast of our choice. Chatting with other patrons was one of the highlights.

Room Tip: If you like a FIRM bed... ask for the four post bed :)

This is not a B&B in the true sense of the word but as the name implies a guest house. There is quite a number of rooms but only one with an onsuite which we booked. The room itself was comfortable enough and stayed there two nights but the room was not serviced.Breakfast was good with a number of cereals to choose from and toast, bacon and eggs.Ginny the host really made the place for us,outgoing and helpful and made you feel very welcome. The location was good also, easywalk to downtown. If you are looking for a short stay in Timaru,it is worthwhile.

Room Tip: Book the on-suite room for privacy

We booked into this B&B on the way back from Queenstown heading to Christchurch. After a day's drive, we were tired and called Giny to inform her that we would be late. Her warm response reassured us that we would not be left locked out of the place. When we arrived, there were a lot of people in the place. There were generally friendly and after we checked in, we rushed off toget dinner in town. When we returned with the food, Ginny told us that we could have an additional room for free as we were only there for one night. We had previously been booked into a triple room and since it was a tight squeeze for three people, she offered us an additional deluxe ensuite room. That was so wonderful since it meant some privacy for me and my wife. That evening, we ate dinner in the dinning area and met some of the long term guests. It was fun to meet these other people and generally just chat.

The deluxe room was comfy. The decor was intentionally Elizabethian and charmed us. The bed was soft and there were more than enough pillows. The electric blankets kept us toastingly warm. The ottoman was a nice touch and there was a TV to entertain us. The room was a little tight but was clean and well maintained. The bathroom had a personalised touch and the wall mounted heater was welcome indeed.

It was quiet within the house rather earlier and we had a good night's sleep. Breakfast next morning was a simple but ample affair. A variety of cereals and toast with juice and coffee or tea. We did not opt for the cooked breakfast of eggs and bacon.

We had a great short stay and found the place to be quaint. If we had wanted to stay longer in Timaru, we certainly would have wanted to stay longer here. The neighbours around the place are also helpful. We met a nice lady who liver across the house and invited us to park in her car porch while she was out of town. She was so nice.

Overall a nice stay and coupled with the price, great value! Great company! Thanks for taking care of the three of us, Ginny!

Staying at Elisabeth Court was fun and perfect for my needs. Friendly, comfortable and a fantastic price. Room was spotless and everything I required for a good night's rest. Ginny is an awesome hostess and makes sure that you are well looked-after.

A huge and tasty dinner cooked by Dave for a small extra charge was a great bonus.

It's definitely a "home away from home" kind of place - exactly what a Guest House should be. I feel it offers so much more than so many places in it's price bracket and wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Anyone expecting all the luxuries of a hotel may be disappointed, but I certainly wasn't!
