Just across the street from wonderful snorkeling spot, the Blue Hole, which is protected by an outer reef so it's easy to snorkel with no current or choppy waves. Food is very good, with hearty portions. Rooms are spotlessly clean and the staff is attentive and very helpful. Drawbacks are that the internet on Kosrae Island is very slow, and the island has frequent power outages. On the plus side, the dive sites are not crowded and the coral is in great shape. The island is lovely, green and mountainous and the people are friendly. Sundays are strictly observed - no drinking or diving allowed. Women should dress conservatively on the island.

Room Tip: Lower number rooms are closer to the outdoor dining area by the pool.

Up front note: The management of the Nautilus changed in December, so more recent information on improvements may well be available by the time you look at reviews.

I came to Kosrae to work for about two months and first settled into the Nautilus. Staff is friendly, the rooms are clean. The restaurant staff is friendly, though service is not at all quick, even when there are few customers. Restaurant selection seemed a bit limited, but their sushi was excellent. The biggest limitation was the lack of in-room Wi-Fi, which needed for work both day, and night. While there was free Wi-Fi in the "lounge", the seats were rather uncomfortable, and there was no air conditioning, so would have to take my computer from room to the "lounge" to work and couldn't retrieve messages on phone in the middle of night, when it was working hours back on the US mainland. Internet seemed unstable, with loss of signal as often as three times an hour. Sometimes had to ask to get towels replaced. There is a nice swimming pool, and there is free use of kayaks. Location is just across the street from the ocean. If Wi-Fi were added to the rooms, and the menu expanded, with larger portions and somewhat lower prices, might consider staying here, and look forward to the new management making the improvements.

Kosrae Nautilus Resort services are awesome and people are very friendly. I love to go there just to find my friends Alik Ansolom Sikain and Nena Minoru Tulensa to have a cup of coffee and chat with them.

Kosrae is a part of Micronesia. The island is truly beautiful and the people are wonderful. You have to remember you are where few people vacation at. The little resort was very clean and the people were wonderful. They want to help you in anyway possible. You feel very safe on this island. The food was good and the coffee was excellent. It was a very interesting place to go to and I', glad we chose it.

Doug and his staff are wonderful. I hope it continues with the new owners. The staff is kind and accommodating. The restaurant offers excellent fresh fish. The rooms are clean. And the pool is a nice bonus for non-saltwater swimming.
