My husband and I stayed at Matanuska Lodge for three nights and had an absolutely wonderful time. The Lodge came highly recommended by my brother-in-law, who works in the area. Brenda and her friendly team welcomed us with open arms and of course a hearty breakfast each morning. Our room was equipped with absolutely everything you could imagine- high-end shower products, a hot shower, a huge comfortable bed, water bottles, luggage tags, chocolate, and complete privacy. The lodge itself is gorgeous and kept in immaculate shape. We took a canoe out on the lake one afternoon, sipped cocktails on the patio, and soaked in the jacuzzi in the evening after a day on the nearby glacier. The location of the Lodge offers something for everyone, whether you want close access to hiking trails, the glacier, and a few restaurants, or just a few nights of luxurious R&R. Many thanks to Brenda and her crew for making our stay completely wonderful. We will be back!

This B&B is all luxury and details. Brenda the owner keeps it whimsical and very eclectic. She says she is always changing and adding to the lodge. In our room there was a large walk in shower with L'occitane products, chocolates, luggage tags and water bottles. The breakfast was delicious.
We stayed here because we did the ice climb with MICA guides. They recommended this lodge. What a great choice because the Jacuzzi tub after our day on the glacier was heaven! The lodge is located minutes from MICA and it is midway between Anchorage and GlenAllen on the Glenn highway. Brenda does breakfast only now. We ate dinner at Sheep Mountain about 20 minutes away.
Please note: Brenda brings her 4 dogs here all summer. If you are not dog friendly or allergic you need to be aware. The dogs roam all over the public areas. They come right up to you and sit on the furniture too.

We were friendly welcomed by Diana. She showed us around.
We are staying here at this moment and it is a beautiful lodge, very nice decorated and very clean. It is a real different experience to other lodges and I would defenitely recommend this to everyone.
Don't miss this opportunity! It's like coming home!

Wonderful experience at this lodge. The owner did not spare any expense. Even though this was a working team event for work, it felt like we were on a retreat. Staying at this lodge in the winter was a wonderful experience and would love to visit in the summer.

Highly recommend this place for personal and business use.....we did our own cooking, and the kitchen was supplied with everything, from waffle and sandwhich maker's to a VitaMix blender. Thank you Brenda was outfitting your place with great taste and comfort.

A beautiful, no-expense spared lodge sitting on 100 Mile Lake with the Talkeetna Mountains out the back window, the Chugach Range out the front and offering great glacier views. Great weekend get-away from Anchorage.

Thank you so much for making your lodge available to our team offsite. The beautiful location and amenities that lodge offered made our outing very enjoyable. I definitely will consider booking the lodge in the future for personal activities as well. I can't wait to stay again, possibly this fall when the fall colors are in full bloom!

Room Tip: Beautiful views from the second and third floor rooms

We needed a room near the Matanuska Glacier to conduct research about dynamics of this glacier in response to climate change. There was virtually nothing available in the valley. I called the Matanuska lodge and Claire, the manager, was extremely helpful and organize a room for me and my partner. We arrived late, and discovered this fantastic, UNIQUE place. It was cozy, inspiring and definitely way over what I expected. Claire cooked a nice breakfast in the morning, we had great discussions and eventually the owner arrived and was also very nice with us. I definitely recommand this place and now it's my first choice when I'm in the area.

Room Tip: Rooms are all different and any of them is an experience
