I’ve stayed at Talkeetna Tiny House Cabin many times in the last year or so. It’s my first choice for lodging in Talkeetna. It is very new, clean and modern, very private setting, My wife and kids love it
Moments after walking in my wife said "I would live here forever."My son said "This is the best cabin ever!" 11/10. We will stay there again. Quiet, charming, well laid out, great sun exposure on the front deck. I used the infrared sauna and loved it. Appreciated the full size bathroom. It's about halfway down the Talkeetna Spur which is great because there are a lot of activities we like to do in Talkeetna itself, but also a lot along the spur and near the junction of the Parks Hwy. So the location is very convenient. We like that in the summer there is room for our friends to bring their RV and we can stay together. A lot of cabins don't have space for an RV and a lot of RV parks don't have cabins. On this trip we went skiing right from the cabin to the nearby lake. If you are looking for potential downsides, it's that there are not separate sleeping rooms. The sleeping areas are in the lofts. We thought it was great and added to the charm. They are accessed by ladders which were easy enough for us, but if you are 80 years old or have mobility issues, it might not be the best fit. I'm sure the location is far enough away from light pollution that you could see Northern Lights in the sky when they are out.
My wife and I stayed in Anna and Jeff's tiny cabin for about a week and there are so many great things I could say about the whole experience. The cabin has a real "at home" feel to it! It is clean, very neat, nicely decorated, and well designed. Everything we needed for cooking or cleaning was at our convenience and there was even nice coffee with a French press (which is always a plus for me). Anna and Jeff go above and beyond to make this tiny cabin the best possible experience for every guest and I would recommend this house to everyone interested in visiting Talkeetna.
Stayed at the the Tiny Cabin for 5 days and had a blast. It was very well decorated and had a homey feel to it. Had one issue with the water filter but the owners were quick to fix the problem. Everything else worked great and would definitely stay there again. The cabin is only four miles down a straight road that Leeds to Talkeetna and easy to find. I would recommend this place to all my friends and family.
Awesome people and an awesome cabin. It had everything we possibly needed. There were 5 people in our party and everyone was happy with our stay. We popped a tire on the Talkeetna Spur, and the owner Jeff, took a good chunk of his day to make sure that we were able to get back on the road. (Thank You, Jeff!!) This is definitely a place to visit again!
I stayed in Talkeetna for a week fishing with my two sons. The cabin was located right in between some great fishing holes and the town center. We fished guided from a boat on the Talkeetna river and flew out on pontoon plane for trout the first two days, and fished locally at Montana creek the rest of the week (just a ten minute drive from the cabin!). We caught plenty of fish which we cooked up on the brand new propane grill at the cabin most nights, and even cooked over an open flame on our last night in the fire pit. The cabin was cozy and the sauna was great after a rainy day of fishing!
The hosts, Anna and Jeff, were very helpful and friendly and were responsive to all of our needs. We plan to visit again!
We had a two week vacation in Alaska and this was the BEST accommodation we had. Place is immaculate and owner thought of every single detail to make the stay super enjoyable.
We really want to return and stay at this beautiful home away from home property.
