“PERFECT!!!”

We had a fabulous time at this special lodge for four nights. Renae and Tom went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. The breakfast that Renae served was fantastic, even providing an early morning breakfast on the day we went fishing! And, I came home with some yummy recipes! Unique collection of people that stay at this lodge and we enjoyed their company at breakfast. Would highly recommend this lodge for your Talkeetna stay.

Renae & Tom were super nice the 2 non- consecutive nights we stayed here. 1st night we stayed in the Trophy Room. Beautifully decorated room with separate entrance, yet still adjoined to the main house. 2nd night stayed in Denali View Room. Located at the top of the home's stairs with very spacious layout and the view of the mountain range does not disappoint. Breakfast both mornings was yummy with a huge assortment of food to choose from. Our time in the area was not spent at the lodge, except to sleep and eat, but you will feel very welcome at the home. In addition to the rooms available, the property also has a cabin and rv hookups.

We had a a great stay with Tom and Renae! The day we arrived you could see Mt. McKinley clearly from the hot tub and sauna. Our room was the Denali Suite and it was fabulous! It had plenty of room including a sitting area where you could enjoy the view and read. Each room has a Keurig pod coffee maker so you can enjoy coffee before heading downstairs for breakfast. Renae makes the best waffles and her Rhubarb cake was fantastic! On our last day, Tom took us on a flight to see the glaciers. We had a fabulous time and will miss their wonderful hospitality.

Room Tip: The Denali room was the largest upstairs bedroom and had a view of the pond and mountains.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabins are beautifully done, great attention to detail and we felt very private eventhough at someone's house! Breakfast was delicious and the location was peaceful yet close enough to town. We even got the most amazing view of Mt. Mckinley as we rode to town, best picture of the mountain came from the back seat of our car! Tom and Renee are gracious hosts and we highly recommend staying here! This, however, is the first place where we really got to experience the AK mosquitoes in all their glory... we would have loved to sit out for a fire or just for the view, but they were pretty relentless at this time.

Room Tip: We had the smaller cabin, which was fine for us but could be tight if you have a lot of stuff (we on...

We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay and would highly recommend the Talkeetna Denali View Lodge. As has been previously mentioned, Tom and Renae are the perfect hosts who strike a wonderful balance at determining just how much “space” their guests may desire--and there truly is an abundance of space available between the spacious living room and dining room along with the large deck and the upper deck with Jacuzzi. The rooms are also beautiful and well equipped for those who may desire more privacy. In addition to the ample and varied breakfast offerings each morning, Renae also offers delicious snacks that are readily available mid afternoon or early evening. (--loved those chocolate chip cookies and pastries!) Not only is Tom a terrific pilot offering an informative overview of the entire area from the air, but he is also extremely knowledgeable about the variety of activities in the area and was ready to lend a hand in helping us determine what our group might be most interested in doing. Together, these two form a perfect pair who know the art of how to treat their first time guests as if they were long-time friends. We’re so glad Tripadvisor steered us to out-of-the-way and off-the-beaten-path (but not too far off!) B & B and would recommend it to anyone wanting to experience a little slice of Alaskan solitude and beauty.

The Lodge and surrounding area is so inviting plus the owners, Tom and Renee make it a special place to stay. The breakfast is the best you can find at a B and B.
If you go to Talkeetna, which we recommend, you have to stay at the Talkeetna Denaii View.
Oh and the chocolate chip cookies are the best yet.

Room Tip: All the rooms are really nice.

Our trip to Alaska was amazing largely in part to the hospitality we received from Renae and Tom. We stayed in the trappers cabin which was bigger than the pictures give it credit for. It was clean and comfy. We had a mini fridge and coffee maker and microwave. We didn't get Wi fi out there but that was okay we just had to go up to the house to check email and enjoy the view from the deck. The view was amazing and the mountain came out three times while we were there. she is an unbelievable sight. You can help yourself to strawberries growing and we enjoyed the hot tub as well.
Renae and Tom were so accommodating and helpful. Renae went out of her way to make something different for breakfast every morning so we wouldn't get bored since we were there longer than most guests stay and joked when the new guests arrived by introducing us as their permanent guests. We were even lucky enough to get to experience some of Tom's cooking and it was by far the best meal we had while in Talkeetna! It really felt like home and family. They outdid themselves with the personal touches and exceeded our expectations everyday we were there.
My husband did a Walk in fishing trip and together we did a jet boat fishing trip. Both were amazing. Pete was very knowledgeable and interesting to talk too. He knew all the best spots and was patient with me since it was my first time fly fishing. It was too early for salmon but we got to fish for trout in secluded untouched rivers. We even got to see a pair of Bald eagles! We will certainly be back for a float trip.
We were so sad when our stay with them came to an end. There were hugs and promises to return and even Paco took it hard. They were booked every night we were there and it is clearly for the exceptional service and amenities they provide. You won't find better accommodations and service in Talkeetna and it is certainly some of the best conversations and breakfasts I have ever had. You can't go wrong with Renae and Tom and we can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: If you choose one of the cabins, they are attached back to back, but you can't hear anything whi...
