“Amazing Bakery”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

After heading to Talkeetna we saw this place through the trees and decided to pop in for a cup of coffee on the way out.

Wow! The coffee was pretty good but the pastries were amazing. The Boca negra was sublime and the cookies top notch. It was so good that we drove back to Talkeetna just to eat here again on our way out of Alaska.

The staff was super friendly and there were locals eating here, not tour buses and click-clack tourists. They had a nice little kids area and the whole place felt very inviting. To top it all off the prices were affordable.

“Very nice and unique lunch spot.”
Reviewed 15 June 2014

This is a very unique spot to stop for lunch. It is a bakery, with a limited but constantly changing menu. We had soup, sandwiches, and some sourdough bread for our lunch, and it was all wonderful.

Reviewed 8 June 2014

Your Birthday Marguerita pizza special was one of the best combinations so far. I live locally and order 2 or 3 pizza a month and this one was definitely the best one I've had so far. All are good but this one was, muahhh!! Kudos to you guys!!!

“Coffee and muffin on a rainy day”
Reviewed 5 June 2014

We stopped in to have a warm brew and a snack. The restaurant is very homey and warm, but could do with a good cleaning and some updated furniture, but this seems to be the look and atmosphere they are going for, the laid back 'I don't care what you think' attitude. The place was crowded and people were being served at the large family style table.

“YUM/YAY!”
Reviewed 19 May 2014

This place is fantastic!!! They've got great coffee, delicious baked goods (healthy, even) and pizza that the Mayor of Gaeta would slap a baby to feast on! I haven't had a chance to try their bread yet, but I've been told it is fairly legendary as well (it's also obvious by the line of locals appearing to purchase it before it goes out of stock).

The music playlist is always good and the ambiance created by the slue of paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling creates a perfect environment in which to enjoy a latte while you read or surf...

I'd say not to pass up this hidden gem while passing by on your way to the end of the road in Talkeetna...
