“Good Overnight Stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2014

My husband and I stayed here for one night, arriving late. Thank goodness we made advance reservations because the camp was full. Sure enough, the owner was good to her word and we had the last remaining space. Even though it was crowded, the park was surprisingly quiet. It was raining, and maybe that helped keep down the noise. Good showers and rest rooms and everything accessible.

We had the opportunity to stay two nights at this Camper park and were thrilled with what they had to offer. The Camper Park itself is not very big, and campers are parked within close range to each other, but the cleanliness, excellent customer service, and proximity to the town center is amazing! The owners live on property and are very helpful. The showers and restrooms were spotless! If you don't rent a site that has sewage, they have a dump site as you leave. All sites have water and electric hookups. We sat and enjoyed the Alaska trains roll past and the float planes heading out for tours.
If you would like to have a campfire at your site, you have to bring a portable fire pit, as there are not fire rings (and fires cannot be directly on the ground.) However, there is a community fire pit that is available, and it is a great way to meet others.
There were many families the nights that we stayed, and there is a playground for toddlers and infants (which was amazing) to the right of the campsite, and a playground for older children directly across the street!
The price was just right! We really enjoyed our time at the Talkeetna Camper Park, and plan on adding it to our annual "must stay list!"

Room Tip: The sites along the back row seemed to have more room (but are the ones closest to the railroad trac...

We spent on night here on the way to Denali National Park. We were happy with the space. It was a little crowded, but, that was understandable. It was a nice walk to the town and that was what we were there to see.
It was very quiet at night and the price was right for the location.
Overall, we were very happy and we would go there again.

We picked up contaminated water at a previous rv park. Trevor and Noreen helped us IMMENSELY through the day and REFUSED any payment, even though we were just passing through town. AWESOME people. No wonder why they were filled up. Angels unaware.

This place was so nice! Clean private restrooms, good sized sites, and Trevor and Noreen are the most helpful and fun hosts you could have! They put us in a corner spot and we could open our door and watch the Old Alaskan Train go by. (It stops after 10 so no problem with sleeping.) We had a community fire and met wonderful campers ( they seem to be everywhere!) . Short walk to town to meet an incredibly eclectic group of fascinating townsfolk. Even met the mayor who is a CAT! Parked our RV for free after check-out (stayed too long) . 2 days we will remember for a long time. Thank you!

Room Tip: If you don't need sewer for the night, the back sites are nicer and away from the road. Dump sta...

Stayed for 3 nights in May.
Hosts excellent, pleasant campground, everything organised and tidy.
Very handy for glacier flights, sightseeing and the vibrant village.
Would recommend this to everyone.

Pity that a number of guests evade paying by arriving late and leaving early without paying using the envelope system for late arrivals.
People need their revenue to carry on in business!!!

We stayed there for our 1st night of a 2 week trip and upon arrival, I was greeted by the nicest lady I had met in a long time. It left me with a warm feeling of welcome. Yes the park is small and we're kind of stuck on the next guy and the train goes "Choo-Choo" often, but if you've read their website you know about the train. For a one night stay before doing your flight seeing tour, it's an ideal place as it's so close and there isn't a lot of campgrounds to choose from in Talkeetna.
"Nothing to complain about and we would stay there again !
