Alpaca Cabins

The cabin was so much larger than expeted, clean, and seemed brand new. The owner was so nice, greeting us when we arrived, pointing things out, and supplying us with juice, yogurt, muffin, bagel for breakfast and bottled water. Faced a lake, and the view was lovely from our porch. There were just two cabins, and the only potential disadvantage may be that the cabins are right next to each other, and if you have loud, inconsiderate neighbors. We had a 3 generational family, and they were so considerate and pleasant. We just noticed that they were next to us because our last cabin was so isolated.

Very clean, cozy and private cabin in the woods.....nice and quite. Everything is supplied: soap and shampoos in the bathroom....in the kitchen: coffee, toaster, microwave, plates, bowls, silverware plus a nice selection of breakfast items......A cozy bed with extra pillows. Everything was top notch! We will stay here again next time we are in the area.

This was a wonderful place to stay. They were was a room for the adults, a loft for the teenagers and a pull out for the little ones. They was the nice size bathroom. There was a nice continental breakfast. There was kitchen with set up for eating. It was a pleasant scene out the window. The host was just so accommodating and enjoyable to engage in conversation.

This was our last stop of our Alaska adventure. It was a very nice way to end the trip despite the rainy weather. The bed was so comfortable with its flannel sheets. The owner is very friendly and she stocks the little fridge with bagels, muffins and OJ. If we ever find ourselves in this area we will definitely stay here again!

We stayed 3 nights in this wonderful cabin, which is very roomy and comforable with a nice sized, double bedroom, soft flannel sheets and down comforter on the bed. A loft area provides additonal sleeping area. The bathroom is very spacious with everything you need, as well as the kitchenette/living area. Everything is very clean and inviting. There are two cabins, surrounded by woods, facing a lovely, little lake. A nice front porch invites you outside with flowers and chairs, along with a fire pit, barbecue grill, and picnic table. Don't expect to see a television, but there is no need for one. Rest, relax, enjoy the view and quiet of this cozy cabin. We will definitely be back next time we are in Talkeetna.

Stayed here one night after the Swiss Alaska Inn had overbooked. The cabins are in a very peaceful setting overlooking the lake and are about 5 miles out of town
There is a double bedroom and a loft bedroom ( due to the very steep ladder this would only be suitable for teenagers/ young adults). the lounge/kitchen area overlooks the lake. The host provided teh basics for breakfast which was appreciated

Room Tip: You will need a car if you are staying here

We only got to stay 1 night, but loved the cabin. If you're looking for quiet, private and a really nice cabin then this is it. There are only 2 rental cabins on the property so you wont have much company which is perfect. The owner's cabin is about 100 yards or so away and is hidden by trees. The rental cabin would easily sleep 5-6 people. It has a separate bedroom w/ a Queen, a loft area with a double and a pull out sofa in the living room. It also has a small kitchen area and of course a bathroom w/ shower. It was very clean and neat, it almost seemed brand new. The owner came and talked to us for a few minutes and she was very pleasant in telling how she ended up in Talkeetna. It has a nice porch that overlooks a lovely lake. Each cabin also has a charcoal grill that you can use to cook your own meals, which we did. The cabin is about 8 miles off the Parks highway on the way into the town of Talkeetna (Talkeetna is about 16 miles off the highway). I would highly recommend this cabin. It was the best cabin out of the 3 we stayed in on our trip to AK!
