“Carrot Ginger Soup - Out of this world!”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

We had an awesome lunch here! The soup of the day was juts brilliant - carrot ginger soup! The waitress was sweet enough to get us a taste bowl since we said it was really tempting and ended up ordering something else! But once we tasted it, we just had to have more - ordered a bowl and ate it with an already full tummy - like a boss! Definitely recommended!

“Great food”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

This place was recommended to us by a native Alaskan in our previous stopover (Denali). The food was fabulous, with some veggie options. I had the hummus plate, which was enormous and full of great flavours. For dessert we had the special of the day, rum cake - highly recommended if it's on the menu when you visit. Talkeetna is a small remote town with a short tourist season, so prices tend to be higher than average - the Wildflower Café was the same - not the cheapest, but not excessive either. Friendly staff.

“Our Best Meal in Alaska!”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

My wife and I along with another couple had dinner at the Wildflower during our 12 day trip through Alaska. I have to say we rank this meal as #1. My wife had a cup of chowder for starters and the chowder was as good as she has had. We both had fish, with one of us ordering halibut and the other order was salmon. Both were excellent! In one of the pictures I attached is a mixture between our two dinners. Service was decent as the place filled up while we were seated.

If we would have been in town for another day I know we would have eaten there again. We ate here on the second day of our trip and each day after we could not find anything that matched the food at the Wildflower!

“Salmon sandwich with crab and cajun mayo - YUM”
Reviewed 26 July 2014

You can tell a restaurant is good if it's filled with locals - which this was. We ate there after our zip line tour (wow - 2 finds in one day). The staff was great and flexible and the food was great.

“Great culinary surprise”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

One does not expect to have food this good in a one visit tourist town. Really excellent food in a charming little hokey dwelling. Great choice.
