“Happy with our stay! But things we wish we knew!”

The location of the bungalow was beautiful it was over the water and there was lots of coral and beautiful fish! We also saw an octopus one day that was amazing! The bed is not the most comfortable but the room had air conditioning so that was a definite plus. The furniture could definitely use some updating. It was so nice to have the kitchen as it is so expensive to eat out anywhere in Bora Bora but keep in mind the groceries are expensive too! The bungalow was about 20-30 minutes from town and even a bit farther to the beach so that was something else we weren't expecting. It was also about $100/day for a car so keep that in mind because you almost have to have one. However, for the price the bungalow it was really worth it! Half the price of others and was much bigger than others that we saw.

Also, we felt a bit uncomfortable upon arrival. Nir picked us up, had us drop him off at his house, told us the car was $100/day and that it was pretty much our only option, gave us the keys to the bungalow, and pointed in the direction to go. A mini tour and perhaps shown to our bungalow would've been a better approach.

“A great place to stay on Bora Bora”

We stayed at Brando's overwater bungalow for one week. It was a great place to stay.
The bungalow is spacious and offers privacy. It felt like a home instead of a hotel or resort
room. The bungalow has a full kitchen and this is very handy. The patio is large. We enjoyed hours of swimming, reading, and relaxing there. The location and a car rental gave us opportunities to experience local life. We are glad that we chose Brando's and highly recommend it.

“Trip of a Life Time!”
Reviewed 11 July 2013 for a stay in June 2013

My husband and I took our two adult children to Tahiti and Bora Bora as part of our graduation gift to them; our son had just graduated from college and our daughter had just graduated from high school. We were looking for a trip of a life time. We found it here!
If you are going to Bora Bora treat yourself to a home like this over the water! Fishing and swimming and snorkeling right from the deck. And so peaceful. When we signed up for tours on the water...the tour guides picked us up in boats right from our deck! Clear teal blue water all around us.
We cooked on the grill, relaxed on the lanai, read books, dipped into the water whenever we wanted. There is plenty of room to relax. The kitchen has just about everything you need. The a/c in the master bedroom was ideal for comfortable sleeping.
Highlights and MUST DOS: enjoy beautiful Matira Beach, eat at the Matira Beach Restaurant, and ABSOLUTELY go on the private all day tour with Patricks Tours. Ask for Rapa as your captain guide. Do the full day where you get the Polynesian Luncheon on the motu. Swim with the sting rays and sharks. Our kids said the day we did that tour was a #10!
A special thanks to Nir who is the contact person you have on the island when you rent this home. He does everything you need and want. Provides you with a cell phone so you can call him anytime for anything. And we did! When you stay on a remote island like this, and the language is foreign, having someone like Nir was invaluable.
Stay at Brando's Over Water Bungalow! You will love it!

“Once in a lifetime experience”
Reviewed 10 April 2013 for a stay in March 2013

We stayed at Marlon Brando Over Water Bungalow with another couple in early March. All 4 of us were delighted with the accommodations. The veranda offered beautiful views of the lagoon and we were constantly entertained by the coming and going of boats, canoes, swimmers, and with the airport activities in the distance and the sunsets. It was so soothing to hear the waves under the bungalow and we liked to turn on the porch lights at night as it attracted schools of fish.
As mentioned by other reviewers you need a car as the bungalow is in a remote area of the island, away from stores, the nearest ones being in the only town around, Vaitape, about a twenty minutes ride away. We rented a car from Nir, the manager of the bungalow, and at a better price than what we would have paid at a regular car rental agency, assuming there was a car available. One word of caution: Bora Bora has had a lot of rain in the past months and as a result the roads are full of potholes in certain areas so we had to drive very carefully. Nonetheless we had great fun touring the island and especially enjoyed our lunch at Bloody Mary's.

The Marlon Brando Over Water Bungalow is a great choice , well appointed, spacious, well furnished (the living room sofa and chairs could use a little more padding), the beds are very comfortable and you can't beat the romance of dining at the sound of waves lapping by the veranda as the sun goes down. Undoubtedly, this has to be one of the best deals in Bora, Bora as fas as bungalow over water are concerned and we would certainly consider going back for a longer stay this time.

My wife and I stayed in Marlon's over water bungalow and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Every amenity offered was a-1. You cannot beat direct access to the water coupled with wonderful sunsets and sunrises. I know one goes there to get away from the rat-race of everyday life, but the internet hookup is priceless.

“Your own overwater bungalow without the resort prices! Paradise!”

We stayed at Brandos overwater bungalow on Bora Bora for one week starting December 26th. What a way to bring in the New Year! We enjoyed everything about the bungalow. It was clean and roomy and very comfortable. We loved being able to snorkel from our house. We loved having our own home and not having to pay the resort prices for food and for our stay. I would definitely stay at Brandos again and would recommend to anyone not needing to be pampered at an overpriced resort. If you stay at Brandos you will need a car because it is on a quiet side of the island away from any shopping or restaurants. Loved the bungalow. Thank you Richard!
