Amazing views and service. Delicious food options at all three restaurants and great activities available right at the resort. Highly recommended!

This is a brand to watch and the only choice for me now wherever I stay if there is a St Regis. No joke - this is my favourite hotel on earth. I usually toss between Four Seasons and St Regis depending where I am (for example, in DC and SFO and Singapore it is St Regis over Four Seasons) but now I will choose St Regis every time. When I was in Bora Bora I visited the Four Seasons to make sure I wasn't missing out on anything. THANK THE LORD I DIDN'T STAY THERE. I asked to see some rooms and they were so small and cheap compared to St Regis. I am so thankful I didn't stay there. St Regis is also much more naturally beautiful - the water is bluer and you don't have a complete view of the overwater bungalows when you are hanging by the main pool areas - they are more discreet. A couple we met had better things to say about Four Seasons in terms of the staff - I disagree! We had two meals at Four Seasons and it is a no brainer where the staff are better. ST REGIS. If you are going to Bora Bora at all - do not be fooled about which one to choose. Also the guide on the Jet Skis said the guests at St Regis are nicer. Overall the BEST holiday I could ever have imagined. I really cannot fault the hotel in terms of beauty, effort, discreetness etc however I will say two things only that I would improve upon: they need to learn how to make poached eggs properly (they taste like vinegar and were all mangled) and steamed spinach - that wasn't great; and at the gym the bathrooms had mosquito coils burning in the cubicles which were too small for that amount of smoke and when you've been working out for an hour trying to get healthy the last thing you need is to be overcome with the fumes and smoke of a burning mosquito coil. Despite asking every day if they could kindly not burn those in such a confined space they continued to burn them. So, if they stopped the coils and went to St Regis in Bali to learn the best breakfast on earth, this would be heaven on earth. Yes its expensive but you get what you pay for. I'm so in love with the hotel and the place I'm going back again in less than six months. Go you good thing St Regis. Thank you for a magical stay. Oh and don't miss the jetskiing. xxxx

We stayed 6 nights at the St. Regis Bora Bora. It is a beautiful resort. It is spread out over 44 acres. There are only 100 bungalows & villas, so you only occasionally see other resort guests.

We stayed in a Superior Overwater Bungalow which is 1,550 square feet (including the deck). It was a nice size living room, an large bedroom & large bathroom. The living room & bedroom each have a 42" flat panel TV. The bathroom has a large bathtub which is large enough for two. It is not a Jacuzzi tub. The separate shower is about 8' x 4' & has a hand-held shower & a rain shower from the ceiling. It's interesting because it is totally open on 2 sides... no glass walls!! The bathroom also has 2 sinks & a vanity counter.

The weather was mild when we were there (mid-February), about 80 degrees. Showers almost daily, but each only lasted about 5 minutes, so rain was not a problem at all. It was breezy while we were in Bora Bora & because of the location of our overwater bungalow, we got the full force of the wind. When we asked to be moved to another location at the resort they were very accommodating & moved us right away.

There is a nice business center with 3 computers with internet access & 1 printer. Computer use & internet is free in the business center. No Wi-Fi in the business center but there is Wi-Fi available in the rooms for a fee. It was nice that they provided this as the room Wi-Fi was 3000 XPF/day.

The restaurant was very nice. Open air & we always had a table with an unobstructed view of the beach. We had breakfast included with our reservation so ate there daily. Breakfasts are mostly buffet style, with a few hot dishes that are made to order. I recommend the french toast. I did try the crepes on 2 occasions, but by the time I received the crepes, they were cold so I just opted for the French toast again.

We ate at the restaurant for dinner 2 times. The first time was for their Beach BBQ. Food was OK. But for the price definitely not worth it. Our bill came to approximately $325 & that just included the BBQ for 2 & 1 cocktail each. We ate one other meal at the restaurant (hamburgers) & had one dinner at the pool bar. Each of those meals were about $125 for 2. We went to Bloody Mary's (which I recommend) & La Bounty (which I don't recommend) for a couple of other meals. Dinners there were about $125 for 2.

The resort offers complimentary bicycles & snorkel equipment. You just need to reserve them. The bicycles are quite useful just to get around the resort because it's so big. On several occasions, we called to be picked up from our bungalow because it was quite far from the restaurant. This service was excellent. They we always very prompt.

The St. Regis offers complimentary boat service into Vaitape twice daily. It was nice to go to town, but it is not much of a town. Several pearl stores, a couple of souvenirs shops, a church & a market. 2 hours is more than enough time to stay. St. Regis also offers complimentary boat service to go to the restaurants on the island. It is very convenient. They drop you off on the island and waiting are complimentary shared taxis to take you to and from the various restaurants.

Everyone at the St. Regis is very friendly. The server we had most of the time in the restaurant was a cute French girl, Elodie. She was so sweet & friendly. She even hugged me goodbye when I told her it was our last day. Also particularly friendly was Yuichi. He drove us from our bungalow to the main resort on several of occasions along with assisting us with our move to another bungalow. He just seemed so happy to assist in any way he could. Seems to really enjoy his job.

On a final note. St. Regis is an awesome resort. It's not their fault that EVERYTHING in Bora Bora is expensive. It was such a wonderful vacation that I have suggested my daughter & her husband go for their first anniversary in June & they are currently in the process of finalizing they reservations. I just wish I could go back!!

Bora Bora is such a breathtaking place, and the St. Regis is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Our overwater bungalow was immaculate, beautifully designed, and gigantic. We had a large living room, large sleeping room, and large bathroom with double sinks and a cool open space in between where you could peek into the bedroom or close off with mirrors. The bed was SO comfy, and we liked the toiletries they provided in the room. We ate at every restaurant, and every meal we had was great. Our best meal was at the Lagoon restaurant on Valentine's Day, where we had one of the best meals of our lives--the deep sea barracuda was excellent as well as the crab cake, chocolate cake, and mini pineapple tiramisu. The meals are very expensive, but my advice is to just go ahead and splurge, as this could be a once-in-a-lifetime experience! The grounds are incredibly maintained with beautiful landscaping and flowers. The staff persons were very attentive, and it felt as though there were only a few other couples at the resort. The beach area is lovely, like a postcard. The sand is coarse and white. The water at the beach is calm with very little coral, but it can be a little hard to discern the depth of the water, at times. The pool and pool bar are also very nice. The resort provides free snorkeling equipment for snorkeling at the beach or the lagoonarium, which is near the Miri Miri spa. There are also several free activities at the beach, such as the Hobie cat, kayaking, and paddle boats. Jet skis and other water activities can be done for an additional cost. Riding bikes around the resort made us feel like kids again--very fun. It got a bit competitive to keep a bike, so we learned to store them at our bungalow--maybe the resort should assign bikes to each unit. A highlight of the trip was the private shark and ray feeding tour. Snorkeling and petting the sting rays was very exciting, as well as seeing black-tip sharks and other colorful fish. The weather was awesome. We would love to return.

We stayed for a week in this five star luxury resort and we were very happy with the accommodation, food and service. The over-the-water bungalows are quite spacious and highly functional. Each unit has a private deck and swim platform.
The food at the resort, while not inexpensive, is very good. The fine dining restaurant on site (Lagoon) is one of the best in Bora-Bora (likely no. 2).
Our vacation package including local flights, transfers and one night stay in Papeete, was put together for us by Laurel at True Tahiti Vacations and we would recommend her services as well because it made the whole booking process much
easier.

This hotel was great! We had our trip arranged through CustomTahiti.com and they recommended this hotel. The service was fabulous, the location beautiful. I would definitely recommend customtahiti.com and the St. Regis to anyone traveling to Bora Bora!

My husband & I spend our 5th wedding anniversary here & I didn't want to leave. The staff was both professional & extremely helpful. The over water "villa's" were top notch & we were truly happy with every aspect. if you are used to the best, you will fit right in. Even room service, which with rainy weather at times comes in handy, is quick & delicious. The premier restaurant on site Jean George's fare is as fantastic as the view from it.
Also breakfast near the pool was stupendous & this is where the French, in French Polynesia comes into play. Honestly, it doesn't get much better in my view.

Going to town on the shuttle: sadly our stay was a short one & we didn't have time to see
more of the island & find other food/shopping choices that we heard were worth exploring, but honestly this place is one that makes you never want to leave. The only two negatives we experienced were the Polynesian show, which was good & the food was also good, but not worth $300. for the 2 of us in my view. The other issue was the shuttle (golf carts shuttle you with your luggage) for the boat back being late to pick us up for the ride back to the airport, which is all done on a boat, as the airport is on an island. Baring that, our stay was amazing & I wish it was our first honeymoon trip, but perhaps being a reward for getting to anniversary number 5 is an even better way to go.

Excursions: Our snorkeling trip with Christoph, arranged by the hotel, was the best one we have ever been on & we've done allot of snorkeling. His concern that his client's see & experience the very best was even more than we had hoped for. That & the Jet Ski tour around the island were super fun & not to be missed, but watch out for sunburns! We both left with burns all over & I have olive skin was wearing sunscreen.

Lastly, if you haven't seen "Couples Retreat" not to worry. It plays over & over again on the flat screen t.v.'s in your room & you'll have had enough of it before you leave! Offering guests Pay For Movies would be my suggestion as other choices are limited, unless you speak & understand French. Plan to enjoy each other as that is what a stay here is all about!
