“Sorry folks, but this is not the place for a person who is well traveled”
Reviewed 24 March 2014 via mobile

My husband and I had been looking forward to this vacation for months only to arrive to terrible service and sideways rain and wind. When I say rain, I mean rain and the wind was like where your umbrella turns inside out, because it was so strong.

When we booked we requested a room in the 200's because of previous suggestions and the staff completely ignored our request and put us in the absolute furthest room away from everything in the resort. We did ask them why we were placed so far away since we had request something closer when we first booked this vacation and we were told there was nothing available but they would look into it further... After a huge run around and taking to different managers they said we could move to another room but that one wasn't much closer. Finally after much discussion, there magically was a room available so they offered to move our luggage while we went for supper. We tried to go for supper and nothing was open until 6:30 pm...so since it was pouring rain and blowing like crazy, we decided to go our new room in the 200s. Housekeeping was just was finishing our room up when we arrived. We hung out for a short while, 30 min and then they delivered our luggage only to find they didn't use a cart with a cover so all of our luggage was completely soaked!!!!! At this point I was beyond mad as I had my iPad and computer in one of my cloth bags. I called the manager and they told me they "will try better next time & that they had to hurry because we came to the room earlier". I told him the only reason we came to the room earlier is because all your restaurants were closed until 6:30 pm and we had not requested a rush on our luggage.

The food at the restaurant was just average and grossly overpriced.

Anyway, this was enough for us, I am not going to spend over $1 k per day at a hotel where I am arguing and being treated like this. We booked a flight to Hawaii the very next day and went to a Hotel where we paid much less and were treated like kings. Besides the forecast for the entire week was rain, wind and thunderstorms. Honestly I was never so glad to get out of there.

Anyway, we have stayed at a few Four Seasons Hotels and this is NOT how they treat their guests. Oh and btw... Hope you like CNN because that is the only English chanel you get....

I was very dissapointed in the Four Seasons Resort in Boro Bora. We had stayed at two four Seasons Resorts in the Maldieves and rate them excelent and would recommend them to anyone. This is what we expected from the four Seasons in Bora Bora. We did not get it. The food was rather average and was way over priced. The rooms were good but not as good as the resorts in the Maldieves. The service was not near as good either. We amost missed the boat because the cart never showed up to take us to the dock inspite of the fact we called 30 minutes ahead of time. We ended up walking to the dack. At breakfast we alway had to ask for a second cut of coffee. I ask for Earl Gray tee and only got it once.
On the good side the snorkeling was outstanding best we have ever done and the view of the mountain was great. The weather was as bad as you could get. The only sun was on the day we left and we had 2 days of the strongest winds and heavest rain I have seen. Do not go in March wait untill well in April to be safe.

Room Tip: We had the last room at the end of the dock great view but long walk. There are two groups of rooms...

I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place with more incredible service to spend my honeymoon! The bungalows over the water are stunning, the food is delicious, and the people are friendly. It definitely takes a while to get there, but the trip was worth all the time spent on a plane. I highly recommend the spa and if you are going with a significant other, the couples treatments cannot be beat. I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking to escape with a special someone to a gorgeous location that feels miles away from it all.

Room Tip: While the bungalows on the end of the paths will be farther away from amenities, they also have bett...

We celebrated our 20 year anniversary at Four Seasons Bora Bora. It was a long trip from New York but it was so worth it. Four Seasons exceeded all expectations!! As soon as we arrived at the airport we were greeted by staff with beautiful smiles. We've been to many 5 star resorts but the staff at this resort go above and beyond. When I asked for late check-out because our plane didn't leave until 7 p.m., Borja at the front office made sure we had accommodations for the day. We stayed in a beautiful bungalow. Don't be concerned if you get a unit on the end because of the long walk. If you call the front desk, they will send a golf cart in minutes. If you're lucky, you will get Heiki as your driver. He was terrific. He answered so many questions we had about his culture and life on Bora Bora. Finally, we wasted an afternoon shopping for black pearls in Viatape. The Black Pearl Lounge at Four Seasons had a better selection of beautiful pearls than any store we visited. I purchased pearls from Tasha. She was very knowledgeable and so patient while I decided on length, color, etc... She was lovely. Four Seasons Bora Bora was breathtakingly beautiful. Pictures don't do it justice.....It's a must see!

This hotel prides itself on its service. Someone is always there to help you. We were impressed by the service and quality of the facilities. There was always complimentary water and towels available (other hotels on surrounding islands are not like that). Little known secret. Find the fish of the day in the lagoon and get a free drink. Since drinks are about $25 USD, it helps. Also, room service is some of the most affordable food in the hotel. Enjoy!
