“OMG! Over the top great!”

Cut to the chase: This place is NOT cheap. Get the plan with Breakfast and Dinner included. Might want to get a Currency Converter on you smart phone (or maybe you don't want to really know what everything is costing). We went there for our Tenth Anniversary and stayed in a Suite with a Plunge Pool. The room was incredible. The service was incredible. The views were incredible. There is nothing negative or average about this resort. Primarily American and French guests. Very few kids. After the first day, most everyone on Staff called us by our names. We had a fabulous week there and really needed another week just to soak up even more of Bora Bora.

Room Tip: We were in Suite 331, a one bedroom Suite with a Plunge Pool. Way out on the tip of the Resort. Ab...

From the minute you arrive at the airport, and board the boat that takes you to the resort, the wonderful service begins! The grounds of the resort are so beautifully maintained, it is truly a paradise! Our over the water room was stunning, with a seperate sitting area and large bedroom both with sliding doors that opened to a large deck. The wonderful service contunued beachside. They were constantly bringing cold water or samples of concoctions the bartenders were blending up that day. It was a wonderful relaxing stay. If you are looking for wild night life this is not the place. If you are looking for quiet luxury with wonderful service in the most beautiful setting then this is the place.

Yes it is far more beautiful than the photos. Yes, if you are reading this it means you are toying with the idea, so you MUST go ! And yes, it is worth it. Whist I was in two minds about going top end, as after all it is the location that you are going for, the logistics of a hotel on a coral atoll miles from anywhere dictates go luxury. It is it's remoteness and inaccessibility that gives you the sensation similar to that described by Alex Garland in The Beach.
The staff are just so divine, they really are attentive without being irritating. I am not going to describe how stunning this place is as everyone should experience it for themselves . If you want to chill, this is the place. It is truly Paradise.
Dress code; Tory Burch, big Rolex and shining new wedding rings !

Room Tip: They are all beautiful , there is a golf cart service to pick you up front the furthest away.

When your plane touches down in Bora Bora all the hotel boats are lined up waiting to whisk you away. It's clear, comparing the 4 seasons boat to the rest that this is by far the best hotel in the region. Classy, outstanding customer service, but for me the most important thing is the lagoon. The marine biologist Oliver is creating a little oasis inside the hotel grounds, what a privilege it is to sip a cocktail then dive into the beautiful turquoise lagoon and see so many exotic fish free from jelly fish, sharks and choppy water. The shark ray ballet and snorkel safari is a must, the wave runner circle island tour follows the same route but is great fun. The marine biologist tour is fascinating and worth doing. Of the 3 restaurants, all have amazing food but our preference is for sushi and therefore we dined at the sunset bar almost every evening. The weather in mid-July was 25-29C sunshine everyday with a few small drifting clouds every now and then. At night it was a lovely 24C. It really was the perfect weather. The whole place makes you feel like you are in a James Bond movie. You only live once, so come to paradise.

This has got to be one of the best destinations we visited so far. My wife and I travelled with 8 and 10 year old. Once we landed we were greeted with leis and directed to a little boat. Once on the boat we were greeted with bottled water and a fragrant cold towel. When we arrived at the resort, a man greeted us by name and explained the amenities of the resort and drove us to our room on a golf cart. We were lucky to have stayed at room 501, the best room on the whole motu. We had our own private infinity pool, jacuzzi, cabana, we even had our own private beach! This villa came equipped with a business office that included computer and printer, a separate kitchen, 3 bedroom and tons of space for out two kids to play hide and seek. The grounds were exceptional! They raked the beaches every day and when you came out they maintenance crew disappeared. The views breath taking! We booked a shark a ray tour and our guide was Ramon, who knew how to coax a mora eel out of a hole. He also found an octopus which attached itself to his face and squirted ink every where, it was quite an experience. Oh and we saw plenty of sharks and rays too. Back at the resort we paddled boarded, played ping pong, snorkled in the lagoon and saw plenty of fish. I must say the service was exceptional. My son loved the little stuff eagle ray left on his bed upon arrival. Its a remote island so don't be surprised at the food prices. There were so much excellent customer service this review would go on and on so I will keep it short. There was sunblock available and plenty of ice cold water bottles given without requests, when our flight was delayed they extended the checkout and even provided champagne and juices. Every other resort should take a page from these guys cause they know what they are doing. When I think 5 stars, I think Four Seasons Bora Bora. Its like The tv show Cheer, where everyone knows your name. The little things make such a big difference. When you leave the resort, they wave goodbye until you cant see them anymore, I know its their job but doesn't everyone like to feel special?
We ask our kids if they would like to return and they answered with a resound yes, which is rare.

Room Tip: We also stayed at the overwater bungalow, but a choice between that and 501, go for 501.

Bora Bora is everything you see in pictures yet soooooo much better in person! The Four Seasons was an experience. Everything is done with care. From the moment you get to the resort off the boat from the airport they treat you to the best. You are greeted by staff who help you with checking in. The rooms will not be ready til check in but you will be given access to the spa to freshen up and use of the affiliates pools etc.

We were helped by a very nice man named Irwin. He made our experience very enjoyable taking great care of us making sure we had what we needed.

We stayed here for five days and it was pure bliss. We did a number of activities snorkeling in the lagoon very day, canoeing and Paddle boarding.

At night we went to the spa a few times to use the hot tub. It's awesome on the men's side you can hear to waves crashing in the open ocean.

Irwin also help us plan an excursion. We went snorkeling with a French tour guide named David from Lyon. I highly recommend doing the "serious" snorkeling tour as they describe it. We made 5 stops around the island and saw beautiful fish.

We also made sure to take Advantage of our awesome deck on the back of the bungalow. We could have just stayed in the bungalow the entire trip. It's bigger than the average apartment and luxurious.

The beach area us very nice too. Plenty of chairs/space available. In the morning there was a free 30 minute yoga class that if offered near the beach area. It was enjoyable.

There are so many wonderful things to say about this hotel! Anywhere you go in French Polynesia after staying here will seem inferior because it is. Nothing can compare!
