“Great Place to stay by the water in Wales”

Overall a very nice 3 bedroom holiday home, especially comfortable beds, good linen, controllable heating, good private parking next to the building so safe, the building is almost on top of the harbour wall and you can walk across the harbour basin where the boats are anchored at low tide. We picked Samphire grass there. This could have been a 5* but for a couple of things. Cooker is complicated to operate even looking at the instructions. I am a chef and struggled to get it to behave. There were two fridges in the kitchen with one tiny frozen food bit at the top of one, no freezer. so don't take a load of frozen food for the week. There is one bathroom, not two. If there were 6 people in there it may matter to you. On the plus side the proximity to the harbour is nice if you like to be in the middle of the crowds as they come right up to the windows as they play near the harbour wall. We didn't mind it, and after sunset it was all quiet. we enjoyed walking around the area and much further. we hired a kayak locally and paddled around the shoreline, ate at lovely restaurants in walking distance serving great local meat and fish.

“tranquil and restful”

We loved our week in Camelot and our two dogs had a great time running on the beach. We are not ones for going out and about a lot so the comfort of a place is very important to us. The sun room was lovely for this where I could do some colouring in, crosswords or knitting (real hard core stuff) while my husband read. Just so nice not to have to worry about normal day to day things. I have some mobility problems and a couple of things were difficult for me but I must stress there was fault with the cottage. The sofas are leather and I am unable to sit up straight enough so I practiced moving from chair to chair and managed to reach a compromise. The beds are another matter - I don't know where they came from but they were so comfy I could have slept for the whole week. If my health and mobility were better we would definitely return.

“Beautiful Location”
Reviewed 13 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

We stayed in November and even though the weather was awful we were cosy and warm. The location is great and there are some lovely walks from the door. I spent most of the time on the window seat looking at the views of the estuary and sea. Beautiful.

“magical homely atmosphere in a stunning location”

We have stayed in Camelot every summer for the last fifteen years...and it keeps getting better. It has a homely, friendly traditional feel but has all the facilities and amenities you need. we have stayed with our very young children, their grandparents, our now more grown up family and it is excellent for all ages. Every window offer a wonderful view onto what is one of the most stunning landscapes anywhere.Ten meters from the beach and river, dunes in front, historic pretty town and mountains behind...there's nothing not to love. Well cared for and let by very supportive owners who are always very helpful. Simply...it couldn't be better

“Heaven on Earth!!”
Reviewed 25 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

This quirky cottage is in a unique location - right by the estuary looking out to sea. Watching the tide, birds, sailors etc Great place to watch the world go by, but seclusion available if required!! Watched sun set into the sea from bench 15 yds away!! Great pubs, shops etc. just 10 minutes walk away. The views from the windows are great, if there in the winter. Can do lovely walks along coastal path without getting in the car. All in all just wonderful !!! Can't wait to go back.
