“Over-crowded but nice”
Reviewed 19 November 2012

Especially in the afternoon many safari boats stay there for noght and sometimes there are lots of divers at the same time in the water. STill the place is quite pleasant, easy, suitable for beginners. The visibility may be fair sometimes depending on the wind direction (the sand may worsen the visibility).

“Nice dive site with the standard marine life”
Reviewed 9 September 2012

Great site, visited it a couple of times with Emperor Divers... Nice sheltered bay meaning little or no current.

Best dived in the morning for the light and photo's... Take your time here looking for the macro stuff as you will be surprised to what you will discover!

If experienced try to do it unguided and take your time...

“Visit to Marsa Shoona”
Reviewed 15 March 2012

Went to dive with Emperor. When we arrived the boat stopped on one side of the bay. The visibility was particularly bad but no attempt was made to move the boat. The plan was 1 dive headed to the outside of the reef and one dive heading into the bay (with even worse visibility than the first dive). It seemed a very lazy way to dive - everywhere else I've dived in the Red Sea we always visit 2 different sites in a day.
