We went there in July 2014 with my family for diving, so I cannot comment on night shows or evening entertainment.
Room was a bit run down but it was clean. Food was OK but after 10 days, it gets repetitive... Drinks on all inclusive where really all you could drink, beer, wine, cocktails...
Front desk staff were rude and incompetent, we had to ask 5 times for the same thing, and eventually gave up and did whatever we were asking on our own. Pool guy (towels) was also rude and condescending to my wife...We were there during the Ramadan, so maybe staff was on edge during the day...Hotel mainly caters to Italians and Russians...
Every afternoon, the yard men watered the lawns using sewage recycled water, it really had a foul smell from the pool side all the way to the bed room terrace... Really gross.
Diving was nothing to brag about, the worst I have done in Egypt, most of it was shore diving by minibus or house reef, but due to wind, visibility was very poor. The only good dives we did was boat dive, but it was extremely limited as they only travel to two locations. Elphinstone is a good dive, but you have to be in luck to spot a hammerhead...Dive center was OK but lot's of hidden charges, which in the end made each dive expensive. I was not impressed with the staff, none helped us to get ready on the boat and when you do shore diving expect to be on your own...
The only highlight of our trip was a nice walk and dinner in the desert and star gazing with a telescope with a local guide. I highly recommend his services his name is Diaa Shawki with
0020-100-5702619, he has a travel store in the lobby...
