Stayed for a week, booked through Emperor Divers. Booked bed and breakfast only. Perfect location for boat diving from Port Ghalib. Also pleasant short walk or shuttle bus service in to Port Ghalib with restaurants and shops. All hotel staff from reception to cleaners were very freindly and attentive. Happy hour in bar was great for early evening relaxation. We would definately stay here again.

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the pool which meant we had evening sun. A/C unit quite noisy though.

We booked with hotel via Emperor Divers (who have a dive centre in the hotel) for a group diving trip and were really impressed with the hotel's value. If you are going diving in Marsa Alam then the hotel is perfect for this.

It is a small hotel but has a fair size restaurant, bar and pool area as well as a spacious lobby. It was a 10 minute walk into the main area of the port but there was a free shuttle with an extremely helpful driver who could be called for a pickup or at a set time.

The restaurant had a daily set menu (over 7 days) with a 2-3 choices per course and soup. We were asked to pick what we wanted for breakfast or dinner in advance and what time. The portions were plenty and although nothing special the quality was fine. There were a few issues with speed for a large group but this was sorted in the first day and was perfect for the rest of the stay. If you are used to other Egyptian hotels then be aware this hotel isn't a buffet service, but we did not go hungry. There were some issues with vegetarian food but that is also Egypt as a whole.

There was a happy hour on between 5 and 6 where beer and cocktails were 20LE rather than 30LE for Sakara after that. Saying that our group did seem to drink them out of Sakara Gold! Big bottles of water were 11LE which seemed good value.

Out of 9 rooms we had there were, again, no problems, they were clean and spacious. The bedding was good quality and comfortable. They all had balconies overlooking the town/marina or pool. The bathroom had a shower with dispensers for toiletries and very nice towels that they seemed to change each day without us asking. The TV had a few English channels and while there wasn't a minibar there was a fridge where we could keep bottles of water. The aircon was a bit noisy and may struggle in summer but kept the room comfortable. On a couple of days there was a shortage of hot water but this was soon fixed and was fine for the 2nd half of the week.

The staff were really good and very helpful, check-in was very smooth and the only slight hiccup on check-out was lack of credit card facilities but we were told this is due to delays with the bank but there was a cash point round the corner. The bar prefers everyone to put drinks on their room as they have limited change.

Overall, the hotel impressed us and was very good value. If you are interested in diving then we would recommend Emperor Divers who have a base at the hotel, or book your diving and hotel with them.

Room Tip: It's a small hotel, so decide if you want a room overlooking the pool or the bar. Just be aware...

Stayed here for 1 night only as I boarded a boat for a week from the marina. Only a handful of guests but the staff were friendly and efficient. I think I was the first to use this room so brand new bed very comfortable with topper and Egyptian cotton bedding and an adequate bathroom although not finished off to a great standard! I was asked to select from a menu what I would like for dinner and breakfast and gave a time I wanted to eat. It was all cooked fresh and was very tasty with generous portions. They even gave me a golf buggy ride down with my luggage to meet my boat in the marina. I would highly recommend especially for divers and with such a low cost.
