“Good for the price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 September 2010

The resort is a good example of a well managed all inclusive resort - for the price.
The rooms are very spacious and comfortable although as usual in Egypt housekeeping cleanes the surfaces but not the corners of the rooms and bathroom ....
There was some mould in the corners of the shower..
There are also stains on the floors that could be removed with a suitable product which would make the floor look a lot better. The food is quite OK but the starters are a bit boring - no adequate variation which could be improved without a lot of extra cost. I wonder what the experience of the reviewers is who rate the food as excellent , there is a lot better to be found in Egypt but probably not at this price level.
The most striking positive point is the service, very friendly and especially hardworking staff in the restaurants although at some times there seems to be more supervisers
on the floor than the actual waiters who work their butt off.

We stayed in the 3 Corners from the 19th of August until the 2nd of September.
First of of all: the Food is totally yummy!Ive no idea why some reviews state that the food is uncooked or the choice is limited??And even if this was true, which it isnt, they could have asked for something to their liking to be cooked!!Anyway, the food was totally delicious, even chips and other known foods available for people that forgot Egypt is actually a different Country?!I had to mention this as we had a family staying in our Hotel that obviously is new to traveling outside Europe and didnt know anything about Marsa Alam. Why go somewhere when you havent even done your research??It was embaressing to see Staff trying to rectify their error by pandering to their needs.Go back to Benidorm next year and you can eat all all your fried Breakfasts and Mc Donalds.Anyway thats enough of my rant back to the review lol
Marsa Alam really is in the middle of no where (Desert),so dont expect any wild Nightlife. It is a totally relaxing Holiday, after the first couple of Days of having to fend of the "Sales People",you can either not do anything or join in wiht the Animation Team, who all do a wonderful Job!! Not to pushy, but very welcoming when you do finally decide that your body and mind can only relax so much.Chris, you made me laugh so much, didnt know my Body could bend that much playing darts!!As for Carrie, dont let the above review upset you!! You were wonderful from what we could see, little children were allways flocking round you and Sarahs and Dannys little boy,George, was totally in love with you from what we could see (he is a credit to you both Sarah and Danny!!), ,I would have had no problem leaving my 2 Grandsons in your care!
I have stayed in Hotels all over the world and I have never seen Staff work as hard as any of these guys.Be it in the Lobby Bar,Restaurant,Beach Bar, Pool Bar or Reception. They allways had a smile on their face and couldnt do too much for you.Maybe just a little thank you or a smile back once in a while?!Mr Haggag does run a very tight ship, from what we could see,but he was also giving out praise to his Team!!I never saw a change in behaviour when he was around, and he does show up everywhere lol
The Rooms are spacious and are cleaned every day,We stayed in room 3064 on the Beach, right next to the Animation "Arena".The Sea is totally as it should be,wild and untamed, but I sadly never made it to the end of the pier as Im scared of heights and just couldnt bring myself to walk up there :( Maybe a railing,Mr Haggag?!Pleae?! I instead paddled in the little rockpools at the front ,on my Air Mattress and watched the Starfish and other Sea Creatures that way.The Pool is wonderful, very clean and refreshing. We has some wonderfull Sun Bed Neighbours,Jean (the Darts Champion) and her Grandaughters. This is where we spent 90% of our time.
We did walk to the right of the Hotelwhere I swam with 4 Sea Turtles!! It is quite a walk, about 20 minutes, not 10 as so often stated and should be only done in the mornings when the sun is not quite as hot and dont forget to bring some water!!
We wenton two trips:The Seascope was totally worth every penny.we saw Turtles and Wild Dolphins and the Team were brilliant, full of fun and so helpful.
But the Camel of the Valley Trip was one I will never forget!!We rode Camels, baked Bread in the Desert, had Coffee prepared for us and then had a Dinner and a Show with our Hosts.Nothing I can write here to describe the feeling of riding one of those amazing animals, being led by these young lads who only care about the things in life that matter.I still have their haunting songs and the visons in my head now.Thank you.
Last and by no means least:Adele!! Our unspolied Thomson Rep!!What a Girl!!Nothing to much trouble always there to help and never (or very rarely) without a smile. She lives in the 3 Corners and is never far away,we didny really need her, exept for our trips. But if you do she is there for you.As I said on Depature,Adele.dont let anyone spoil you!! You are the best Rep weve had on any of our Holidays!!Keep up the good work.
We are definatley coming again,Thank you all at the 3 Corners for making our holiday what it was!!!

This was our 2nd visit to the hotel, there will not be a 3rd.

We were all inclusive the food was terrible! The meats were under cooked and every thing was tastless. Alot of the guests had upset stomachs including ourselves.

The waiting staff in the restaurant were brilliant. The bar staff chatted amongst themselves and ignored the guests. The reseption staff were very good.

Hygiene was poor with the scratched plastic glasses at the pool bar being rinsed under a running cold tap. Every drink smelled and tasted of ouzo!

Continually being pestered at the pool and even during lunch to visit the spa, go on camel rides or to eat at the Chez Pascal restauant in the hotel at 20 euros each. We did consider that to avoid the all inclusive food but because of the pestering and the risk of paying extra for poor food decided against it.

The staff appeared to be affraid of the manager. We noticed this by their behavior when ever he was present. Very nervous.

Where do i start?

Firstly i wish to point out our stay was during the Religous time of Rammadan. So any Muslim staff, cannot eat, drink etc from sunrise to sunset... So as you may expect, the staff, will not be in the best of moods, during this time (bearing in mind it was 42 degrees.. IN THE SHADE!).

All i can say is everyone was polite, always had a smile & said hello\ good morning etc.

Well we (My Girlfriend & 6 year old son) stayed from the 19th to the 26 August & had a wonderful time.

The pool barman (Mustafa) was cheery, polite & was very helpful, as was Ahmed (Main Restaraunt), who would save us a table (as it gets quite busy from 7:30 to 8:30pm) bring drinks to the table, was very friendly & always had a smile.

We ate 1 night in the A La Carte resteraunt (Chez pascal) Hany (Billy) was chatty, polite & very friendly, my son felt a little ill in the resteraunt & Billy, constantly doted on him, fetching him cold flannels, drinks etc, nothing was too much trouble.

The rooms are clean, roomy & cleaned daily & even on our departure date, we were offered clean towels!

Softer matresses (recommended) are available, as are extra pillows, from reception.

Now for the bad bits, which to be fair, were more of a niggle, than a complaint.

The Main resteraunt gets extremely busy & the queue was lengthy, there are 2 live cookery stations, so by the time you have collected the food from these & travelled up the line, the food is somewhat cooled.

The hotel is currently extending, all main building work is done, so there is a little noise from the construction, but to be fair, you can hardly hear it over the poolside music.

The kids club is hit & miss, Carrie opens it & closes it as she sees fit, so the hours are no where near as advertises (1030 - 1200 & 1330 - 1700).

Bearing in mind, Carrie was the only unhelpful person on the entire resort!

The on site diveschool (SSI) not PADI, offers various dive courses, but the equipment is not kept in good service, we had 2 dives on 1 day, the 1st was a check dive, we went out via minibus, an employee looked after my son, taking him snorkeling in the shallows (as he is a non swimmer) so i have to commend them on that.

The provided wetsuit zip was broken & unable to be zipped up.

The second dive was more a miracle an accident didn't happen, as the pressure gauge on my reg's needle was faulty, luckily enough for me, the dive was over & we were beginning our ascent. i came up with 10 bar of air!!!!

If you intend to dive, either go into Port Gahlib & use Emperor divers, or take your own equipment.

Hopefully this report reflects the positives of the hotel & the staff & not on a few individuals, i would & will certainly be going back

Just returned from staying a week at Three Corners Fayrouz. Started our holiday with a weeks Nile Cruise on Magic 2 (wonderful boat, scenery, but pity about the food - very poor). Had a six hour coach trip from Luxor to Marsa Alam (was told that when new road opens supposedly next year this will be reduced by half). Wonderful welcome when we arrived - all staff encountered - reception, bar, restaurant, room cleaner, gardeners very friendly and polite. Always a great choice of food - 2 soup choices, bread and roll section, 2 salad bars, always a chef cooking fresh pasta with your choice of different vegetables. Each night was a different theme - Egyptian, French, German, Italian, Meditterean. We were all inclusive, but orange, pineapple and water dispensers available free at all meals. Beware of fresh orange juice, smoothies and sangria being availabe at an extra 2 euro charge. Enough choice of drinks - local alcoholic cocktails, kids cocktails, local beer/spirits, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. Enterainment during the day and evening if you want it. Always beds available around the pool (they are in the middle of building new rooms, and a new pool). The pool was always inviting at 24 degrees. You will get pestered by Chez Pascal man, Entertaiment staff wanting you to book Oasis Party etc, quad biking, but found that a polite no thank you, and you were left alone. The same went for the beach - never had a problem with finding a bed in the shade. The sea is amazing - 25 degrees warm with an abundance of fish, and stingrays - water shoes, snorkel/mask and cheap underwater camera are a must. The hotel is solely on its own with nothing around. The hotel runs a minibus to Port Ghalib - only 15 egyptian pounds for a return, which took about 10 minutes to get to - but made a nice couple of hours break from the hotel - has a couple of hotels, numerous shops, Pizza Hut, Costa, TGI Fridays. We went early afternoon, but both restaurants were closed, so you may be as well to go in the evening if you want to eat out for a change. Many thanks to Mr Haggag for a great stay, and for making my birthday so special - must have noticed it was my birthday from my passport, as my husband didn't arrange anything, basket of fruit in room, and they made a birthday cake out of towels and flowers on the bed, along with a birthday cake in the restaurant, and Happy Birthday being sung with the waiters.

I have travelled around the world and stayed in many 5 star hotels but this one was the best by far the beach and coral reefs are within the hotel complex and like paradise on earth. The staff were so geniune and happy and helpfull it was superb. The food was the best food i have ever tasted and my mouth is watering for is as a write this review. I will be going back on my own in November and then again with my family next year.

We wanted a very quiet and relaxing holiday in a peaceful setting and we got just that!!
Lovely rooms set in lovely gardens, good food, helpful staff who will go the extra mile.

We didn't spend time around the pool but sat on the beach and spent time snorkelling which was great.

We intend to return in 2011, and we haven't even considered doing that to any other resort.

If you want peace and relaxation then I would recommend this hotel.
