I went here with my boyfriend and we had an amazing two weeks. Our room was lovely and clean and the cleaner went out of his way for us! The entertainments team were very friendly and were a great laugh. They even made my boyfriend a mixed CD for his birthday. The food was always lovely, we ate soooo much! On my boyfriends birthday they even did up a table for us and baked him a cake!!! all the staff even came out and sang a song it was amazing!!! the waiters were really friendly and chatty 3 in particular were outstanding! The snorkeling was amazing, i'd also recommend going on the quads with Oscar very good fun! Overall we had an excellent time, we didn't want to leave! Met so many lovely people we will definitely be going back!!

My husband and I had here a beautiful holiday for our wedding anniversary, including a great cake in our room. What can I said... nice room, with all you need, clean and spacious; good restaurant, fresh food every day, with a very good pizza (and we are italian...); kind and helpful staff; beautiful sea and a good diving center.
We really can recommend this resort to our friends!

My friend I booked a last minute winter sun holiday saying at the Resta Reef in Marsa Alam. The hotel was 3/4 stars, all inclusive and the entire holiday cost approx £350 each. The staff were very friendly and helpful, restaurant food was excellent and very plentiful. Beer was kept flowing but in very small glasses!! If you are looking for 5* luxury at 3* prices this is not for you, but if you want a week chilling out at on the beach in a friendly hotel then I can’t recommend it highly enough.

I wouldnt reccommend the spa - you would be better off going to the Resta Grand next door for treatment, and something for your feet whilst walking on the reef is a must.

We arrived on 30th Dec 2010 hotel ten minutes awqay from airport which is good. Staff very efficent on arrival at hotel. Impressed with room clean. Rooms were cleaned every day lad who did the cleaning very friendly. Went for two massages at spa excellent. The thing that made the holiday and would recommend to do is Oscar Safari which is quad biking in the dessert. I am normally scared to do anything like this but we had good tuition and off we set. The first one we did 15:00 start time, we climed a smaill mountain in the dessert to watch the sunset then we visited a Bedwin family had tea and rode back in the dark. The second time we went at 10:00 in the morning it was excellent. We also went on a day trip from the local port snorkelling and if anyone wanted a try at scuba diving, dolphins swam past another excellent day. All staff very friendly a nice little shopping arcade. The only two things are the "Amination team" it took them all their time to smile, the team consisted of four girls and one lad, the lad tried his best but the girls were so miserable it was unbeliveable -maybe they should change their career path! and the night entertainmnet was awful. There was a kids disco early in the evening then supposidly adult entertainment which two nights consisted of wannabe singers (who couldn't sing)on karakoe with the added annoymance of little kids running around. I know families take children on holkiday but please control them!! I would definitly recommend the Restas Grand. One final thing the food in the buffet restaurant was good but could be a bit more varied, the main meals were normally grilled chicken fish or some beef dish - got boring after a while but they did excell on new years eve when they put on a new years eve gala dinner it was fantastic

went for christmas and new year as stayed in a different hotel in marsa alam last christmas and loved every bit of it.

But unfortunatly this year there was a terrible rain storm ibetween christmas and new year and the hotel didn't cope well at all most rooms were flooded out we lost use of our pools for 4 days this could of been sorted out much faster, leaks in the dinning room ceiling were still not mended when we left.

The resta reef is not a good hotel to stay at as all food served in either the dinning room or beach bar is always cold very poor choice every meal time it is a choice of beef chicken or fish every day.
You can only get a glass of wine when in the dinning room, you will be stopped and the glass taken off you if you try to take it out of the dinning room. There is not a bar as such you can only get your AL drinks from either the dinning room or italian after 6pm or from the pool or beach bars from 10am to 6pm

The rooms are basic and in need of work been done but they are livable, the air con is fab.

All the waiters & bar staff and animation staff are really nice friendly and helpfull, but the reception staff a very different set up, each tell you a diferent answer when asking a question.
