I used to drive long-haul truck and would call them from about 15 miles out. I'd ask what the soups-of-the-day were and select one - or sometimes both, and order a sandwich. I'd pull into the parking lot, walk in the door, they'd be finishing putting up my order and I'd be on my way in less than five minutes. Even at 30 below-zero the truck tires would hardly cool off. It was always right, hot and good.
They hand-make their soups and haven't been disappointed - ever.
They have a limited sandwich menu but all are good. And their big burger is a REAL MEAL.
I was on a trip to Fairbanks and my wife was along. She had never eaten there so we stopped. She enjoyed it too.
It's a hole-in-the-wall eatery but well worth the stop.
