Best Western Lake Lucille Inn

This hotel has a great location on Lake Lucille. The rooms are nice hotel chain quality with good mattresses and pillows. Breakfast is free and excellent. Real eggs and potatoes in restaurant overlooking the lake. This was one of the least expensive hotels we stayed at in Alaska and the only where we got a free breakfast. Good place to stay on your way to Denali.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the lake

lake Lucille is a beautiful lake which the hotel is located. beautiful views of the mountains and the lake. the grounds were nicely kept. we had an exceptional clear, warm day the lake was calm. we saw many waterfowl feeding their babies. a very relaxing experience. a little in house café would be really nice for late arrivals that are tired and don't care to drive to a restaurant. on the other hand you can order out.

Very nice and clean Hotel, which is what I was expecting for a Best Western Property, has a nice front Lake View, the room was very nice and most importantly for me "Clean" sheets smelled nice, plenty of towels and amenities, has an small but efficient enough exercise room, Hallways looked like were just remodeled, carpets are cleaned, nice wall paper, Lobby a little small but kept cleaned and organized, in the morning we had Free Continental Breakfast at the restaurant which came on handy since I'm not much of a morning eater, over all I had a nice Night Sleep, nice clean shower and a nice free Breakfast, I would stay here again if a needed to or I could recommend this property to Friends and Family.

We stayed here one night during a return visit to Alaska. It's really sad how this place is going downhill because the property, being on the lake is beautiful. The hotel is a mess: the room was dark, and hot without temperature controls. We had a room that faced the lake and when we opened the sliding door, it fell off it's track! The hotel is SO outdated and had a weird smell, more upsetting is I found out the owners, who are not Alaskans, were about to open another hotel in the lower-48 while letting this one deteriorate!! Do not stay here and reward these wretched owners!

The lake is beautiful. There is also two lakes of ponding in parking lot. Hotel is a bit old and needs updated. The fire alarms went off at 5-5:30 am. Breakfast area was good with ample space -food was fine. No restaurant onsite. No AC just a fan.

Stayed one night. Other guests kept slamming their doors which was annoying and the largest bed available is a queen. Suggest supplying some Kings as the rooms have the space to accommodate them. The breakfast was a nice surprise. Had many options. The lake was beautiful.

We had a Lake View room and it was well worth it. Stunning views of the lake and mountains. Hotel was very quiet except for the doors. It seems it was impossible to close the room doors on without pulling hard which results in a slamming noise. The breakfast area is actually a restaurant area and again, the morning views are stunning, with the breakfast itself was hot, fresh, and better than most. Front desk staff was helpful with info local to the hotel. But for info and suggestions on the surrounding area, the Palmer visitor center does a better job. You can book flight seeing trips that leave from Wasilla, but we were looking for hikes and drive to it sight seeing. The breakfast room and maid staff were excellent.
