I just spent a very enjoyable 3 nights with what felt like my new family in Wrangell. Becky sent her grandson over to pick me up at the ferry terminal even though it's just a few blocks. It was dark and pouring rain, so that was a big help. My room had a shared bath, but since I was the only guest it was no problem at all. I had a comfortable bed, and a choice of two living areas to relax in. The house is an easy walk to everything. The breakfasts were huge and delicious- no lunches needed!
I recommend the museum in town, the Totem Park, the walk up Mt. Dewey and Petroglyph Beach for in town excursions, and Anan is a must see for bears. I went with Alaska Vistas, but Becky's son Scott is a guide for Alaska Waters, so you might try them too. I loved Wrangell!!
