“Great place to stay if you want the feel of the old west. With some new west conveniences.”
Reviewed 13 August 2014

Stayed here two nights on a side trip from Tucson. Reservations were quickly accomplished via phone. Room (gray room) was very nice; lots of atmosphere. Pretty basic bathroom setup - nothing luxurious - but it all worked. While there was a window, it faced into a kind of air shaft, so there was no real view and not much light. But it was sufficient. And there was a common balcony if you wanted to sit outside, which we did one afternoon. Breakfast was hearty and excellent. Staff were friendly. Parking was available out front on the street and across the street in a small lot. Once we got there, we were able to go everywhere in town on foot. There's a bar right downstairs.

A couple of the themed rooms - like the one with the covered wagon bed - open right off the street, much like a storefront. We actually wandered into one of the rooms initially, thinking it was some kind of lobby.

Room Tip: Themed rooms/suites on the first floor are like storefronts. Those on the front of the second floor...

My wife and I stayed at the Bisbee Grand for 3 weeks before moving to Bisbee in 2004 and had a great friendly time where we were able to meet many of the colorful locals. We left Bisbee 2 years ago and came to visit and again stayed at the Grand. It is like stepping back into the Old West. We stayed in the Victorian Suite which was very clean, bed was extremely comfortable, air conditioning was perfect. Down stairs is the old Saloon where you can have a beverage or eat a meal, and the included breakfast is served there. The imagination takes you back to the 1800's and what life might have been like (staying in the Victorian Suite, from a wealthy mining exec or upper class person's perspective),. Soaking Tub/shower included). Families that want to give their kids a feel of history will enjoy the Grand with the many different themed rooms. We just love the place.

Room Tip: If you are traveling with a family, I would get one of the large suites. They are all different. W...

My son, niece, and I stayed in the 'Oriental Suite,' great views, bay windows in the living room and bedroom, claw foot tub, and shower. It was truly a page out of history. The breakfast was very nice and everything appeared to be restored to its original splendor. The hotel is located nicely between all the antique shops on the same street. I did get an opportunity to view some of the other rooms; however, the other rooms were very small compared to the 'Oriental Suite.' The 'Oriental Suite' also has a great deal more privacy.

Room Tip: Really not for small for children but no bed & breakfast is.

We just went down to Bisbee for my wife's birthday and stayed in the Bisbee Grand and it was wonderful. We stayed in the Victorian Suite with was huge and beautiful! It is an old historic building so there is no elevator and the outlets are a bit quirky (they didn't charge up our cell phones), but the charm makes up for it. Note: in the summer time this is a good place to stay because they added air conditioning where most older buildings do not have it. You can hear the noise from the street below pretty well since the Victorian Suite is on the street side, but we were ok with that. The garden suite or one of the standard rooms probably won't have that much noise. The staff was all friendly and helpful and the price was reasonable for the room we got. Also the restaurant that used to be attached is closed for remodeling. We were disappointed in that since it got good reviews.

Room Tip: The themed suites are fabulous but the Captain Suite, Oriental Suite, Victorian and Western are all...

We had the "Old Western Suite". Not exactly a suite since it was very small and dark.
We slept in a covered wagon which was really fun. Nice large bathroom although the toilet kept running. The walls are thin but we knew that before and it really didn't bother us at all.
The 2 western rooms have their own entrance with a sitting room up front.
Very nice breakfast with outdoor seating looking over Main St., where you can sit with your breakfast and coffee and other guest-good views.

Bisbee AZ is a very interesting little place...lots of mining history. It's the home of the oldest continually operating baseball park in the US...Warren Ballpark. Babe Ruth played there.
The Grand Hotel is very old, with lots of character. It has been updated somewhat, but still retains its original quirkiness. The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was excellent.

Room Tip: Some of the rooms have themes, so have a look at a few if you can.

We stayed here for two nights in April 2014, and stayed in the Hacienda Suite. This was not actually a suite but a large bedroom and bathroom. The breakfast area is quite small and served on the top landing. There is no reception area you, check in at the bar downstairs. There is no lift and the entrance is straight off the street up a steep flight of stairs. The hotel is full of character, with every room a different theme.
