On the recommendation of someone, we planned our visit to Bisbee in order that we could dine at the Café Roka since it is not open every day. We had great expectations and we were rewarded with a wonderful dining experience. Wait staff was pleasant and fun. Food was interesting and full of flavor. We do not eat in the same restaurant two nights in a row but wish we had as the second restaurant (Table) was a huge disappointment. Café Roka sets the standard in this town.

Eight of us were on a road trip with Bisbee being one of our stops.
We had heard and read great things about Cafe Roka but WOW --it was even better than what we expected.
Our reservation was for 7 pm-- we arrived on time and were told that the table wasn't available yet so Cafe Roka would provide us with appetizers and wine while we waited--FOR FREE ! The appetizers were amazing--flatbreads with carmelized onions and pesto;
Warm Piquillo Peppers w/goat cheese;Gorgonzola & Bacon Stuffed Medjool Dates.
We liked teh house wine( we had both white and red) -- that's what we went with when we were seated.
And oh, once we were seated, we rec'd another complimentary appetizer:shrimp & scallops in a coconut curry sauce--magnificent.
The meals were plentiful; scrumptious and suitable for sharing ( which the staff was alos amenable to )If Cafe Roka has rack of lamb as a special--order it !!!
The great thing about the meal was the timing--nothing was rushed and we had a chance to savour each course ( yes there are courses !!! with the entrees): tarragon tomato bisque; salad; lemon sorbet--all made in house.
The prices were reflective of great value for one's money but it is the service--friendly; attentive; knowledgeable and courteous that impressed our group the most.

What a wonderful, lively place to dine. The ambiance is the best in Bisbee with three floors full of buzz and great food. For a change, we had the salmon salad and duck salad. Great sauces to try with the salad. The service can't be beat! The place is always packed so book a reservation if you want to get in.

Fred is the best!

We had a 7:30 reservation for our first night in Bisbee, and it was a great way to start our trip. The food was really good, and the restaurant had a nice ambiance. My friend is a pescatarian, and we were surprised to find no fish on the menu, but she tried the tempeh entrée and was extremely happy with it. That turned out to be her favourite dinner of our 3-day stay in town.

We have eaten there on three occasions and always wonderful, great preparation and menu. Fred the bartender is in a class of his own -- and also is co-owner of the Copper City Inn.
