“Good experience!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 December 2013

We spent two nights in No. 1, which reminds me of a cabin I stayed in years ago. There's a tiny but fully equipped kitchen, a living/dining area, a small bathroom with a tub/shower combo, and a bedroom with a twin and queen bed. We knew from past reviews to expect a clean, comfortable, rustic, funky place with a friendly Maggie to greet us - and that's exactly what we got. When we arrived in December, the rooms were cold and I was afraid we'd freeze, but there are heater/fireplaces (electric) in the living and sleeping areas that heat up the rooms quickly. We didn't have to ask for a thing, as the rooms were well stocked with everything we needed; although, we could have used another floor lamp since we're both readers. Since it was chilly outside, we didn't get to sit outside on our little porch or in one of the many outdoor seating areas. I imagine they're delightful in warmer weather. I can see this being an excellent place for a family reunion, since many family members could stay in the rooms and then congregate outside. Clean, quiet, reasonably priced, plenty of hot water, fluffy towels, plenty of space, lots of plugs for electronics, comfy beds, safe parking, and charming Maggie all gave us a good experience. It's a quick mile into Bisbee.

Room Tip: If you need a blow dryer or iron, bring one. We always wear ear plugs, but hubby took his out it wa...

We stayed here in March, a welcome and warm break from a camping/climbing trip in nearby Cochise Stronghold. The owner was very helpful and friendly, and the grounds are in a great location. Our dog was welcomed, and we found a network of trails in the surrounding hills for hiking right from the hotel. This is where we will stay again in Bisbee.

Green Features: The environmental practices of this, and other, hotels are very important to us. The Gardens at Mile High gets high marks.

My wife and I spent 2 nights at this place. The setting is very rustic and somewhat dated. There were a small number of units within the ranch area. There was a serene garden on the property. There is a need to better keep the landscaping at the ranch. We stayed in Unit #4 which included a living room area, a small kitchen and a large bedroom. The unit did need some deep cleaning and regular house cleaning. The staff was very friendly. The location was very close to downtown Bisbee.

Booked only one night at the Gardens, wish could have stayed longer. THe staff is friendly and the room was clean, with windows that opened to bring in the cool, fall air. Also, it's dark enough at night to see the Milky Way, which was a treat, since Phoenix is our place of residence.

We had ordered the continental breakfast for the following morning and it was very good and healthy. Coffee was good also, which was nice since most places we seem to visit have so so coffee. This little jewel is hidden away from the main road, Tombstone Canyon and is surrounded by huge old cottonwood trees and other big shady trees. It's very quiet, which was great.

Check in at the Gardens at Mile High Ranch was super easy.  Maggie accepted our payment, gave me a quick lay of the land and provided a map of Bisbee. The room was rather large for two people...living room, full kitchen, king size bedroom and full bath. The fridge was full size, and Maggie provided cold drinking water inside for our stay.
Pros: well kept B&B; nice amenities; super sweet host (Maggie)
Cons: just a tad bit out of the way (this is also a Pro); mattress was a little uncomfortable

If you are looking for a Marriott, go elsewhere. However, if you want a special getaway in a cute town, the Gardens is for you.

Massage by Trinity: wow, what a special provider! Trinity booked my wife and I back to back, and delivered an exceptional massage. The massage room  was very nice and comfortable.  Trinity has titanium fingers, covered in velvet. The only con was we should have booked a 90 minute massage instead of 60 minutes.

The Gardens At Mile High Rance provide both leisure and health in a way that makes you feel at home. The gardens are tranquil and rooms quaint. I also received colonic irrigation services from Maggie who offers them in a very comfortable environment. I had three colonic sessions with Maggie which were informative, reassuring, and brought about results I was both surprised and pleased to see.

It was the perfect place for me and my boyfriend to stay to both relax and heal in the quiet hills of Bisbee. I thank Maggie again for her dedication to colonics and providing such a unique place of reflection and healing.

We have been on a little road trip for about a week staying at the chains like Holiday inn that take pets. The chains are O.K. but not very relaxing. People are coming and going all day and night, going to the ice machine, whatever. Allways something going on. Hard to relax. This pllace was literally and figruitivly a breath of fresh air. IIf you are looking for a marble entryway and a bellhop, or even room service and an ice machine, this place is not for you! However, If you are looking for tranquility and an escape from the modern grind, you will love it here.

The gardens are situated on what I would guess are about three acres of medows, ponds, gardens etc with a scattered series of funky rooms that look like they were built in the twenties. The rooms are clean and funky, a perfect change from the cookie cutter chains. The gardens have an abundance of art work with themes that span from a Mexican hacienda garden to a Buddhist retreat. As I write this, I am sitting outside my room enjoying a glass of wine, listening only to the sound of crickets. So relaxing but just minutes from historic Bisbee.

This is one of the few places in Bisbee that takes pets and my two little Shi-Tzus are loving being able to wander around the grounds off leash and safe.

If you are looking for a place to show off your latest pair of Manalo Blahnik kicks, you will hate this place, but for a couple of old hippies, it was perfect!

Don't cry! Just keep coming back! This is my favorite time of year because the creek is running for the last few weeks, waterfalls not far away, and every thing is so green and cool! Thank you so much for a wonderful review!
