We stayed at The Gardens for our anniversary celebration. It's tucked just ouside town which was great for us since it was a peaceful place to retreat to after exploring Bisbee. Walking is possible (if you like to walk) to the city center but took us about 30-35 minutes since we enjoyed strolling past the eccentric houses on the way. Driving, however, is no more than 5 minutes and we never had problems finding parking. You'll want to make sure you know how to parallel park, though!

Our room (unit 5) was perfect for two. We enjoyed being in such a quiet location and consequently got great sleep (no bars downstairs like you'll find in a majority of the hotels in town). The bed was very comfortable as well. It was also nice having the microwave and fridge for our leftovers. The only small downside is that the bathroom is tiny so you'll have to take turns getting ready. We had a parking spot adjacent to our building which was very convenient and enjoyed the fall scenery in the outdoor area (hammock and picnic table). Maggie was also very accommodating with restaurant recommendations and making sure we enjoyed our stay.

All in all, a great way to spend an anniversary weekend and just what we were looking for!

Room Tip: Unit 5 was perfect for two. The bathroom is tiny so you'll have to take turns getting ready!

I recently spent a full week at The Gardens at Mile High Ranch over the holidays and it met or exceeded all of my expectations. What a wonderful place!! The owners/operators are attentive but not intrusive, and, if you need it, they are a great well of ideas for things to do/see. Their location was perfectly suited to my needs - pretty close to the center of old town Bisbee, but far enough away that we basked in a calm, natural setting on the flanks of the Mule Mountains. Although I live 600 miles away, I am already planning my next visit to the Gardens!

We needed a place to stay last minute over the New Year that was pet friendly and found this place. We stayed in a one bedroom cottage like room. But it had a couch, small fridge, coffee pot and toaster. The staff was ultra helpful. And they offer massage and colonics therapy. Since the weather was cold the grounds were dead but I imagine it all comes to life in the summer. The place reminded me of when we'd go camping. lots of common areas and everyone within ear shot of each other. If you don't like ruffing it then find another place to stay. If you like funky you'll love this place.

We spent two nights in No. 1, which reminds me of a cabin I stayed in years ago. There's a tiny but fully equipped kitchen, a living/dining area, a small bathroom with a tub/shower combo, and a bedroom with a twin and queen bed. We knew from past reviews to expect a clean, comfortable, rustic, funky place with a friendly Maggie to greet us - and that's exactly what we got. When we arrived in December, the rooms were cold and I was afraid we'd freeze, but there are heater/fireplaces (electric) in the living and sleeping areas that heat up the rooms quickly. We didn't have to ask for a thing, as the rooms were well stocked with everything we needed; although, we could have used another floor lamp since we're both readers. Since it was chilly outside, we didn't get to sit outside on our little porch or in one of the many outdoor seating areas. I imagine they're delightful in warmer weather. I can see this being an excellent place for a family reunion, since many family members could stay in the rooms and then congregate outside. Clean, quiet, reasonably priced, plenty of hot water, fluffy towels, plenty of space, lots of plugs for electronics, comfy beds, safe parking, and charming Maggie all gave us a good experience. It's a quick mile into Bisbee.

Room Tip: If you need a blow dryer or iron, bring one. We always wear ear plugs, but hubby took his out it wa...

We stayed here in March, a welcome and warm break from a camping/climbing trip in nearby Cochise Stronghold. The owner was very helpful and friendly, and the grounds are in a great location. Our dog was welcomed, and we found a network of trails in the surrounding hills for hiking right from the hotel. This is where we will stay again in Bisbee.

My wife and I spent 2 nights at this place. The setting is very rustic and somewhat dated. There were a small number of units within the ranch area. There was a serene garden on the property. There is a need to better keep the landscaping at the ranch. We stayed in Unit #4 which included a living room area, a small kitchen and a large bedroom. The unit did need some deep cleaning and regular house cleaning. The staff was very friendly. The location was very close to downtown Bisbee.

Booked only one night at the Gardens, wish could have stayed longer. THe staff is friendly and the room was clean, with windows that opened to bring in the cool, fall air. Also, it's dark enough at night to see the Milky Way, which was a treat, since Phoenix is our place of residence.

We had ordered the continental breakfast for the following morning and it was very good and healthy. Coffee was good also, which was nice since most places we seem to visit have so so coffee. This little jewel is hidden away from the main road, Tombstone Canyon and is surrounded by huge old cottonwood trees and other big shady trees. It's very quiet, which was great.
