“The lasagna is their calling card!”
Reviewed 20 February 2014 via mobile

Pro's:
-Lasagna was SUPER tasty, great balance of different cheeses & sauce. Cooked on time! YUM!
-Spaghetti had a great flavor profile, the meat sauce was well seasoned & absolutely scrumptious.

Our waitress was friendly & accommodating.

*NOTE
Small town, hence keep you're expectations realistic. Not to mention their prices are very reasonable.

“Food Quality was Weak and Service Questionable”
Reviewed 1 February 2014

We tried this restaurant because of the good reviews it received, I hope our experience was not typical because we will not return and cannot recommend this restaurant.
First the good: The price was reasonable.
Now the bad: From the taste of the food to the service, there was so much more to be desired.
We started out with the minestrone soup, which had the body (and taste) of tap water. The wait staff asked why we weren't satisfied with the soup and we were honest with our response. She went on to say :The day shift must have cooked it on high, they do that sometimes and it boils all the flavor out of it." It didn't taste overcooked, it tasted like weak bouillon... She asked if we wanted a salad instead, and when we asked what was in the "house dressing" she replied "I don't know, it's pretty good, they make it themselves." A very disappointing response, she either doesn't know or care how to support the food here. My brother-in-law asked if they had any chicken Marsala because he tried getting a glass Pinot Grigio and she said they only have Chianti, Merlot, Cabernet, and Chardonet. I believe the wine was Carlo Rossi (out of the jug), although poured generously, certainly did not improve the scorecard with the "authentic italian" ambiance. Anyway, she indicated there was one more serving left of the Chicken Marsala. Well, there were less than 6 people in the restaurant that night...it was a Friday night...where did it go...where are all the customers?
Then the main course showed up and the placard indicating all the food is hand made certainly could not have been meant for the meals we had (chicken Marsala, chicken Parmesan, and steak). It was clear these meals had been made previously (maybe days before) and reheated in the pizza oven.
I was really disappointed with the quality of the food, the odd responses of the wait staff, and the dirty/slummy look of the dining room (table/chairs piled up in a corner, ceiling tiles extremely dirty, etc). This is certainly not "authentic italian", not by any stretch of the imagination. I hate to make such a big deal about the quality of this food but I have to be honest...it was not good. It may have used to be good in the past but now it is not worth returning.

“Authentic Italian!”
Reviewed 14 November 2013

This restaurant was a surprising treat. We were greeted at the door by Barbara, who shared that they had been in business for 40+ years. The service was very quick, as the restaurant was not crowded. The garlic bread was delectable. I had the seafood alfredo, which included shrimp and clams. It was simply fabulous. What the decor was lacking, the food made up for. The 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area.

“Very good food, but...”
Reviewed 4 November 2013 via mobile

My husband and i tried this place out because it had good reviews and we wanted pizza. The pizza was delicious and the server, kathy, was very attentive. The BUT is the dining area is absolutely FILTHY. That was something we can't get over and will not be going back.

“Family Italian restaurant”
Reviewed 22 October 2013 credit card Amex Cardmember Review

We were on our way to another restaurant and saw this one on the highway. We decided to give it a try and weren't disappointed. The service was friendly, the prices were very reasonable, and the food was very good. The salad dressing is terrific. The garlic bread is delicious and they brought plenty of it with marinara sauce on the side. We had lasagna and ravioli, and both were great.
