Was in town for a wedding at the Sheraton resort, which I had originally booked out of convenience. An old friend staying at the casino hotel convinced me to stay (free shuttle to the Sheraton resort every 15 minutes or so), and I was concerned about the price difference (at first). After seeing the Trip Advisor reviews, decided to take a chance on the casino hotel and I am not sorry.

The room is fairly large, and the quality of materials used is first-rate. The doors are the heaviest, most secure I have ever encountered, and all woods used for the hotel and room are dark and luxurious, very similar to The Hotel at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Insulation is fantastic--I could not hear any noise from adjoining rooms.

The Samsung HDTV is very good (and it's most likely a smart tv), plus the bedding and sheets provided in the room are very comfortable. The bathroom had a high quality feel, and being on the ninth floor insulated us from any casino noise. Gym is standard, but well-equipped for an above-average workout. Pool looked good, but was not able to take advantage of it.

Overall, a very nice property, nice to see the casino come alive on Saturday night, and I would not hesitate to stay at this property again.

Room Tip: High floor, though I don't think the casino's noise would travel to the lower floors.

We absolutely loved this hotel.
The room was spacious, clean, and of a high standard. The bed was very comfortable and it was very quiet, so perfect for a good nights sleep.
We used the gym a couple of times, it was well equipped and we were the only people using it both times.
The pool area looked really nice, and we wished we had time to use it.
There was plenty of choice when it came to food and drink and the prices were very reasonable.
We went into Phoenix each day, and although it was a little drive it would not put me off staying in this hotel for future Phoenix trips.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Would have loved to stay longer and hope to return.

Checked in and heard guys next door partying it up for a football game. Called down to ask for another room and they said they'd send security up instead. Went back to the room later and heard more noise.

The next day I got to hear some dad smacking his kid and fighting. A colleague who stayed there said he had to listen to the TV next door plus late night sex.

Earplugs didn't help. Who built this place?

Good location and helpful staff and clean room.

Nothing to complain about here. Room was large, clean and quiet. We were on the 8th floor which gave us a great view. The pool was clean and warm, not crowded. Good in-room coffee, tea and free water. Good variety in type and price of Restaurants in the casino. Very few slots in the nonsmoking area - might be a consideration for some. Like most casinos, smokers abound. Our room had two double beds, not queens, which was fine for my sister and me but be aware if more than two adults. Very comfy beds, though. Lots of security in the hotel. We had a perfect two night stay!

Room Tip: High floor has great view. West room gets beautiful sunset

My husband and I were invited and stayed for two nights comped, as WHP monthly offer for players' club members, AND we loved the place! We usually arrived early before the check-in time at 4pm, but we mostly got checked in without any delay or hassle. The front desk staff is always professional, friendly, pleasant and efficient.

We asked for a quiet non-smoking room with pool view and king bed on high floor, AND we got a tastefully appointed room with large window and spectacular mountain view; awesome AZ sunset! The regular room was clean and decent-sized; the king bed was extremely comfortable with high quality soft linens and four fluffy king pillows. The regular size bathroom features a tub/shower combo, one sink with quality Gilchrist & Soames toiletries.

My husband believes I may be a picky hotel guest, who looks closely at details and greatly appreciates quality amenities: WHP provides in-room coffee/tea service including complimentary bottled water daily, plenty of wooden clothes hangers, laptop size safe, hair dryer, iron/ironing board, 40” flat screen TV with premier channels and complimentary high-speed wireless internet.

ADA rooms are available based on hotel availability. We stayed in and enjoyed greatly one of the ADA larger room/mini suites in September. These suites are double in size with a five-piece large bathroom: double sinks, bathtub, walk-in shower with an extra handheld shower head, and a separate toilet. They even have a motorized flat screen TV lift cabinet conveniently placed close to the end of the king size bed. Housekeeping provides complimentary turndown service in the early evening, mint chocolate candies with a cute good night card on the nightstand. That is true hospitality service!

Besides free room, we also got food coupons to enjoy very decent foods. We tried most of the casual eateries at WHP over the years: excellent & reasonable priced Asian meals at Star Ginger (we like ALL of their foods, from delicious Vietnamese pho, sesame orange chicken, Mongolian beef, green curried chicken to prepackaged sesame chicken salad; insanely awesome staff like friendly Ronald, pleasant Adrian, etc); large sandwiches at Reuben's Deli; Fatburger; Famous Famiglia Pizzeria. We certainly like those Asian meals at Ling & Louie's; we once had our birthday dinner at the expensive but really good Don Shula's American Steak House. Not to forget custom made drinks/light meal service at Common Grounds coffee shop. We have not tried Cafe 24/7 yet.

We do not have any negative thing to say about the beautiful modern Wild Horse Pass Hotel, which has easy access off and on I-10 freeway. WHP Casino has a very few machines in the non-smoking area by the escalators and in front of the coffee shop. There are many other slot machines in the main smoking area all around the casino; just too much smokes IMO. Although we seldom win at slots, or get lucky enough to be selected for Gila River casinos daily/weekly/monthly drawings and chances to win cash, Free Bonus Play, and other prizes; the important part is that we try to have fun as penny slot casual players at local casinos. We always return to WHP for our monthly staycation, play a few spins and try our luck at slots.

Room Tip: Ask for odd number room if pool view & mountain view is preferred. Beautiful AZ sunset!

Easy access off and on I-10 freeway..rooms are larger than usual..great beds and pillows..nothing beat up looking..lobby is lovely..good hotel for business too..professional valet staff..always helpful, trustworthy...remember my name even..front office staff are young professionals...not any lazy people around there...coffee shop is great! Quick good food and wonderful pastry selection..removed the starbucks shop but the coffee is still very good.

The casino is higher end..lots of security, good cashiers, gift shop with some fun stuff..bathrooms all around casino...covered parking garages if you want...you won't be disappointed...top of the line steak house inside casino!

Room Tip: There are a few rooms with balconies...don't forget to ask for them...also there is a great hand...

We stayed for two nights and were really impressed with the decor throughout the hotel and in the rooms. The place just sparkles and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is helpful and courteous - be sure to meet the Concierge (The Godfather). He knows everything about the area and is very helpful.

The only negative would be that the room doors seem thin and at times the noise in the hallway is quite loud. Also, as happens in casinos everywhere, the smoke is just awful.

Room Tip: Get an odd numbered room on an upper floor for a view of the pool and the sunset.
