We came not expecting much but it ended up being a super enjoyable stay especially for the price. The pool is super nice and you don't have to fight to get a chair. The hot tub was also nice and large. There are nice fire pits that are cozy to sit at in the evening when its cooler. There is phenomenal restaurants right down the street within walking distance and the breakfast at the motel was good. Shopping is also a few minutes away. The only thing I didn't like was the shower curtain was dirty and there was a stain on the bedspread. Other than that we loved this place and would totally come back.

The hotel is conveniently located and is a well kept historic site. We had issues. When we arrived the front desk staff said that they were having troubles with the key cards. When we got to our room we were unable to open the door. There was a housekeeper in the next room and she let us in our room. We left the room, went back to the front desk, asked for a new key, left for a few hours and returned with some takeout food for dinner. Again, we were unable to open the door and called the front desk. They told us that the maintenance man would come and take a look in 10 minutes or so.
It happened to be a cold weekend, we had food to eat that was getting cold and ended up eating outside. When the maintenance man came by, his key card worked but our new key did not. He said that the hotel had been having problems with the key cards for a few days and we would have to have an employee let us into our room if we left. How convenient was that going to be?
The next issue was the heat. It didn't work. We called the desk and told them of the problem and the manager said he would send maintenance right out. We waited over an hour and called the front desk again. Maintenance came out and tried to fix the heater but could not because the HVHC Tech would not be there until morning. He asked if we wanted to stay in the room or switch rooms. At this point it was 62 degrees in the room. We wanted to switch, so he called the front desk, went to get a key, which didn't work, and we moved our stuff in the other room. We had heat for the night but if we were going to leave we would need an hotel employee to let us back in.
After breakfast, which was enjoyable, we went to the front desk and asked for a key, because we were not given one and the key issue was resolved. Unfortunately for us, we were checking out right after breakfast.

Got this hotel last minute on Priceline and the reviews didn't really make us too confident going in. We arrived in the evening, checked in very quickly and they were very welcoming. Suggested the in house pizza place which was good for the convenience but not for the price. Here's my pros and cons of it all:

Pros:
-Proximity to downtown chandler. We were right next to the art walk at night and a very large car show in the morning.
-friendly front desk staff.
-clean room
-quiet hotel
-good deal on priceline

Cons:
-Room service staff member (selina) was very rude. She seemed inconvenienced that we had called to order a pizza and THEN called to get a wine opener. Like it was some broken law.
-we asked for a refrigerator to store breastmilk and it never came.
-We asked for a crib and it was creaky, old and had a large fabric bumper which can suffocate children on it.
-We asked for a king bed because of our baby and got two fulls instead.
-ladies at the coffee shop don't know what an americano is and they opened an hour late.

Overall for the amount of time we were there, it was fine. Would i book the same hotel again? probably not. But for this one time, it was ok.

We stayed at the Crown Plaza San Marcos 4 nights in January. It is an older hotel but well maintained & professional staff. The pool, hot tub & grounds were wonderful, and the rooms well appointed and comfortable in all ways. There was a fabulous Italian Restaurant right across the street and a nice breakfast restaurant half block away. No, this is not Trump Towers, but for the money, it was most enjoyable. If you're a "prince or princess" go somewhere else. We will go back again....

Room Tip: The courtyard rooms had nice patios & landscaping was so nice.

I just stayed here for 6 nights w/my family of 6. We had two connecting rooms. I love the hotel. It is a nice size, the pool was nice and big and entertained my children and it has some history and charm to it . The rooms were very nice , clean and tastefully furnished. There is a coffee shop that brews Starbucks - I did not try their restaurant. That was because there are lots of great places to eat/shop right outside there doors. I consider myself pretty picky about hotels and this one exceeded my expectations - especially for the price.

An older hotel, typical 90's era cheap construction, corners cut in design and finishing, but withal well-maintained. Fine landscaping makes for a pleasant stroll through grounds. Not into golf, so can't comment.

Pros:
• Swimming pool very good.
• Attached restaurant okay with efficient, friendly staff.
• Adjacent to century-old Chandler shopping/dining core.
• Our room was quiet in evenings; twilight birdcalls!
• Big flatscreen with HDMI jack nice for viewing our own videos instead of the crap TV the hotel pipes in.

Need work:
• Breakfast buffet offerings blah and overpriced.
• Housekeeping challenged in keeping pool supplied with towels, picking up things out outside rooms by guests.
• In-room coffeemaker is lame--ever hear of Keurig?
• Fridge is noisy and overheating in under-bar cabinet; had to unplug it to get any sleep.
