Off the beaten path, the resort is nicely situated between Cottonwood and Sedona, about 2 hours from Phoenix.
Our 1 bdrm was very well equipped, virtually new and spacious. The noise from the A/C fan was too loud to sleep so we only ran it while out. (OK for the spring weather.) There was a water heater in a closet in the bedroom which also made enough noise to wake us occasionally. There is no lock box to safely store valuables. The only thing missing for me from the beautiful bathroom was a make-up/magnifying mirror. Otherwise, our overall experience was outstanding. Our family was able to play pingpong and billiards regularly - no waiting. There was a good selection of recent DVD's with available popcorn. The saltwater pool was heated and clean. Someone else commented that the pool area was small but that wasn't our perception of it at all This isn't a high traffic resort. A list of interesting organized activities is available at the sister resort in Sedona but we didn't have a chance to check them out.

What impressed us the most was the lack of sales pressure for time shares or activities. In fact, we found the whole area offered remarkable service at tourist sites without the usual emphasis on selling and tipping -- this made us even more willing to be generous and engage!

Worthwhile outings were Verdi Valley Railroad, Blazin' M Ranch, Sedona Helicopter ride, a walk through Jerome and hiking anywhere in Sedona. Decent inexpensive 9 hole golf course in Cottonwood. Avoid the overpriced restaurants along the main strip in Sedona - there are plenty of great, less expensive places on the fringe.

Staying at Highlands Resort at Verdi Ridge in Cornville Arizona. Very nice RCI timeshare about 12 miles west of Sedona. Great place if you are going to Out of Africa and Verdi Valley Railroad in Clarksdale. Still close enough to hit the trails (both walking and Jeeping) in Sedona.
We have a 1 bedroom and 1 bath unit and it is very spacious. It could easily accommodate a family of 4. I saw the studio unit and it is really small. I would not recommend it for more than 2 people and even then only if it was for a couple of days.
The grounds are nice with a very nice family pool and spa area plus they have a separate Spa area for adults only that looks out over the golf course and Verdi Valley.
They have a nice BBQ area with 2 Gas BBQ's and a patio area to eat at.
The laundry machines are free to use and they even give you one small box of soap to get you started.
The 1 Bedroom units have a nice patio with a table and 3 chairs, ware as the studio's do not have a patio.
The kitchen in the unit has about anything you would need to cook anything you care to.
The Bathroom of the 1 bedroom is huge with a walk-in shower and a Tub spa. The Studio unit has a standard small bathroom.
It is right next to the Golf Course even though I don't golf.

This is a nice clean well maintained property. Large very nice rooms with unbelievable bathrooms. Good central location for access to the surrounding area. However stay away from building E. Road noise is terrible as people are commuting to and from work. You come here to see the mountains and beautiful country. In this building on the second floor you see the roof of the laundry and poolside building and if you are on the first floor you see the sides of the same building. Why have a nice patio? This is such a nice comfortable property in a beautiful area why have people stay in this building. Fortunately we were out everyday, but we will make sure if we come back, which building we are in.

Room Tip: Don't get in building E

My husband and I spent 5 days at this resort. We stayed in the newer building although all the buildings appear to be recently built. The road noise can be annoying, but it didn't keep us awake. I LOVED the adults only hot tub with the mountain views. Nice size swimming pool and another hot tub, as well as free laundy facilities and game room with a pool table. Exercise room has 2 treadmills, 2 bikes, 1 elliptical and weight machine.Staff was very nice but we didn't really deal with them after we checked in. The partial kitchen in the studio unit was very well appointed.

It was nice not to be in Sedona as it seems like a tourist trap. You are still only a few minutes drive to the Sedona attractions and are closer to Jerome and Cottonwood as well as some of the other attractions in the area. The restaurants in nearby Cottonwood were outstanding!

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the back, less road noise.

The property is very nice, the location isn't very good for views, quietness or tourist shopping. The front desk wasn't helpful when I wanted a few hours earlier check in because of plans to go
to Phoenix and we were coming back late and wanted to just go to our room, consequently I
ended up paying an extra night at our first resort. The manager was suppose to call me and arrange this early check in but I never heard from her and my number was given to her. We requested a 1st floor because of my husbands heart condition, but ended up on 2nd floor BUT they did have Jason, a very helpful young man, move our belongings for us. The room has a
very nice floor plan and is on a good golf course.

Room Tip: AWAY from the busy road outside and people getting in and out of their cars.

I spent a week at this resort, in a one-bedroom. The amenities were quite nice - fully furnished and equipped kitchen, nice furniture etc. The bathroom is huge and has a separate shower and a jetted bathtub which I used every day. I had to ask for a better location when I checked in but was pleased with the new location on the second floor in Bldg C. My only complaints are the bright dusk-to-dawn lights from the golf course that shine right into all my windows at night. If there's anyone in the adjoining studio, you can hear everything they're saying through the doors. But the location is great for Jerome, Sedona and the Verde Valley Train.

Our stay at this resort was exactly what we were looking for. We were traveling with our two-month old son and wanted some space in a nice, clean, and convenient location. Upon arriving, we were greeted by great staff who offered us ideas and recommendations for our stay as well as two movies and popcorn for our nights in. The room was spacious, clean with great appliances, two televisions, and a huge bathroom. We were very comfortable here. The hotel is conveniently located near sedona, Jerome, clarkdale, and cottonwood. There is a mix of chain restaurants and shops as well as mom and pop places and boutiques (check out larry's antiques in cortonwood!). We also spent a day at the grand canyon, two hours away. We would recommend eating at the cowboy club in sedona and tavern grille in cottonwood. The wineries in Jerome were surprisingly good (and surprisingly pricey)- bittercreek winery and Jerome wineries were excellent picks! If you have time, visit the cluster of national monuments in the area!
