I had stayed here with my family (four of us total), unfortunately for a funeral and it was very accommodating. The placement couldn't have been better, we were less than 2 minutes from the church, and less than 10 from Cornville where the rest of our family was staying. We were very close to one of our favorite restaurants, Randal's as well, a total plus! Anywho! We fit comfortably with plenty of room. Everything was very clean and tidy, with all the amenities we needed; coffee, creamer, sugar, shampoo, soaps, towels. I was very impressed for a local motel. The beds were super soft, which is my preference, so if you like a firmer bed, I would keep this is mind. We had more family coming in, and the front office was more than happy to put them directly across from our room with no hesitation. On the day of our departure, the housekeepers son had even offered to help me with my bags! So adorable. I would definitely recommend this cute little gem to other travelers and friends. Their price was decent as well, definitely within our budget.

Martha took my reservation over the phone--very understanding of my wife's allergies, and was happy to accommodate our needs--John was a wealth of information, and even took time to look up and print some local information for us--our room was good sized, very clean, good bed, microwave and fridge--about half the price of anything in sedona or jerome--we love the history and beauty of this part of arizona, and will make the pines our "base camp" in the future--located off the main street, and a little difficult to get in to traffic during rush hour--

Room Tip: we chose a mini suite--well worth the small additional cost--fairly big fridge, big microwave--cook...

Thank you! Yes the rooms in the back on the 2nd floor have the best views!! Off in the distance you can see the red rock canyons near west Sedona.

When I checked in requested a room change to downstairs and was accomadated with a smile. The room was very nice and clean. I felt very safe at this facility which is important for a lady traveling alone in these days. I needed a copy of the receipt once back at work and was accomodated immediately. Thank you Cory for your help. Location is great. Will stay there again in the future,

We stayed at the Pines Motel for 12 days in Oct.2013. It was an easy place to find and Cottonwood is cheaper than the nearby honeypot of Sedona. The rooms are of good size and comfortable. The owners and staff were welcoming and very helpful over our stupidities ( not to be revealed !). Car hire is essential here and gives one good access to many interesting towns, cultural sites and outdoor activities.

Room Tip: Rooms on the top floor of the front block (on the left as you come in) have extensive views over the...

We spent the night at the Pines Motel while on a short weekend overnight in the area. The room was delightful. Large enough for my husband, daughter, daughter's friend and I to feel like we had some room. It had 2 queen beds, a dresser, desk and chair, and a side chair. Also included a microwave, refrigerator, iron, and paper towels. Whole place was clean and well maintained, beds were super comfy (I usually can't sleep on hotel beds, no problem here!) The shower head could be changed out to a more efficient one, but not too big of a deal. We were in the front building with about 8 rooms, didn't hear anything from our neighbors and the place was full. Nice location, not a bunch of noise from the road. We walked to breakfast at Randall's in the morning, pretty tasty!
Would definitely stay again.

Thank you for the review! We have very hard water here in the Verde Valley which tends to build up quickly. We will check out that shower head as we do remove water deposits frequently from them! See you next time!!

The Pines Motel was just what we wanted on our day in Prescott. It was an okay price compared to everything in Sedona 45 minutes away. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location was by plenty of restaurants and not far off of the freeway. Nothing fancy, but it suited our purposes before we spent the rest of our vacation in Sedona.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review - We are simple as you say but also try to add some extra comforts - like flat screen TVs and feather blankets - as you say we are in a great central location for exploring the Verde Valley! Hope to see you next time and thank you again!!

We stayed here October 17th - 21st while on a road trip through Nevada and Arizona. The location was off the main drag so we did not hear traffic. We stayed in room 114. It was clean and roomy. The only complaint was the beds (we had 2 queens) were really uncomfortable, no support and I could hear the mattress springs when I sat on the bed. I really feel when you are charged $94. a night on weekends, a motel can at least have comfortable beds.

Room Tip: Do not book room 114 if you can help it. Very uncomfortable beds

Hello and thank you for the review! This is the first time we have heard about this and checked into it - we could feel the springs on one of the mattresses - the other seemed smooth and bouncy - we will look into changing out that mattress as we always get compliments on our beds! Also, room 114 has a great walk-in shower with a lot of room!
