“The casino workers are less than friendly to the new player”
Reviewed 1 April 2014

Haven't played the slots so needed some instruction, two workers acted like if you don't know how to play, go home but one staff member was very helpful. The Red Rock Buffet is average at best for the all you can eat crab dinner. We won't be returning for that although may try their Tues buffet to see if that is any better. Food was lukewarm. However the sunset as you drive down 87 back to Scottsdale are spectacular and worth the drive even if the food was mediocre and the slots experience less than memorable. Did like the "free play" you receive when you join their player's club.

We love this hotel as we married in Fountain Hills in 2009. It is always fun to visit and it is a great value with excellent staff.

“Smoky and limited slots”
Reviewed 27 February 2014

Went there to do the annual swap meet. Was gonna have special breakfast for $1.99 but line was like 2 hours long at the buffet, went back 3 hours and still long. Lots of smokers and love blackjack slots and they have zero.

“Red hot deal at the Red Rock cafe”
Reviewed 18 February 2014

Ft McDowell's casino has a terrific brunch on Sundays in the Red Rock cafe: $14.50 buys you all you can eat buffet including Salads, shrimp, prime rib, more shrimp, pork tenderloin and chicken and all the sides and deserts galore. And let's now forget the champagne. Worth it even if you are not into casino games.
