We stayed only one night but would have stayed more if we did not already have reservations. We wanted to be near Taliesin West for an early tour and the location was perfect. BUT the place was more than just a good ocation. The room (more like a casita) was wonderful...lovely SW decor and no sign or wear anywhere.
The only negative was no restaurant but you could eat at the adjoining golf course and charge to your room...we had breakfast there and it was good service and food. Also you can play at the course at low rates and they will loan you clubs at no cost if you are staying at the hotel.
All in all a great place and unbeatable price!

We stayed at Eagle Mountain for two nights in Sept 2011. It was just what we were looking for at the end of our vacation. We love the desert and Eagle Mt is nestled in the middle of it. Not so far away from Scottsdale that you can't drive in for shopping or dinner, yet far enough that you are away from the lights and noise. Very quiet out there. And nothing to do in the evening there but relax enjoy the peacefulness. The place is starting to show it's age though. There is a pool and hot tub next to the registration area. There is a bar there, but they don't use it. They have a limited supply of alcoholic drinks on site and you can use the bar area if you want to enjoy a drink. No night life there at all.

There is no restaurant there. I think you can get room service from the golf course near by. We went there for breakfast one morning. Good food with a nice view. The staff was nice and helpful. We'll definetly go back but I would like to see a little upgrading. Newer furniture, fresh paint and minor repairs or it may not stay the gem that is is now. Thanks to Brady and the staff for helping make our stay there enjohable.

It's nice and in a pretty setting, and the staff is very friendly and nice, and the room was above average, but this is not a full service hotel by any means. There is no restaurant or even a small exercise room on site. (You can drive to the golf course grill for breakfast or lunch or they'll bring breakfast over for $5.) The pool area is tiny. When it's hot in the Valley, you need to work out indoors. I asked for a second floor room based on what others had written but didn't get one. They were right----Be sure to get a second story room because there is zero noise proofing between floors. This hotel was like an old ski condo where you could hear everyone else.

We found a room in the $80 range in late September, and that's about right for this hotel. It does appear to be the nicest place in Fountain Hills and is convenient to the Beeline Hwy that takes you to Payson and points north. We drove by Mayo Scottsdale, and this place is about two miles away. I'd stay there if I was visiting Mayo Scottsdale.

Room Tip: Second floor ONLY

Jaime,

Thank you for your review of the Inn at Eagle Mountain! I am very happy to hear you enjoyed the setting, found the staff to be friendly, and your room as above average.

I am sorry to hear that we were not able to accommodate your request regarding a 2nd floor room. Our 2nd floor rooms are by far our most popular rooms and it is sometimes difficult for us to accommodate all of the requests for these rooms but we do make our best effort to do so.

Thank you again for your review of the Inn at Eagle Mountain and we hope to see you again soon in the near future!

My Wife and I were badly in need of a vacation and My Mother inlaw suggested The Inn at Eagle Mountain.
Wow how relaxing can it be. After spending the summer baking in the Dallas heat,, it was so refreshing to come to Phoenix. The room was wonderful, the Staff was Great. Special thanks to Linda, I spoke to her prior to going and when we arrived she was there to greet us.. We stayed in Room 233, which had a wonderful view of the city. The Inn is centrally located to everything we wanted to do.
The Accomidations were great.. I do Suggest going to the Country Club for breakfast, we expected it to be expensive and did not go till the last day. Very cheap for breakfast!!
If you are planning a day trip to The Grand Canyon I suggest you leave VERY early, it is a 4.5 hour drive, and you want to have time to spend at the canyon and get back before dark, the interstate coming back can be rough in the dark as there are many steep grades coming back.

We will stay there again on our next trip, I hope REAL Soon!

We always stay here when we go to Phoenix - mainly to shop since we live in Payson. The rooms are quiet, clean and large. Pool is never used. Rooms have a great view of eastern Phoenix. Fireplaces, but not used in the summer months. Bathrooms are large with large shower and separate tubs. Nice bathroom amenities. Close to good restaurants and markets. Close to Scottsdale for great shopping.
Great summer rates.

Room Tip: Monthly specials on line, plus emailed specials.

My wife and I enjoy going to Scottsdale for getaways and usually stay at the Fairmont Princess. However, that Resort was a little over our budget for a last-minute getaway in late January. Fortunately, I stumbled across the Inn at Eagle Mountain, which offered a special package deal that was reasonable even though it was during the busy season.

Getting to the Inn was a bit of a drive, since it is about 10-15 minutes from the freeway exit. Arriving at night, we didn't get to see the property well. It was pretty dark in the desert.

Check in was easy and our Casita suite was located just across the driveway from the office. We were immediately impressed with the spaciousness of the suite. It had a good size living area in front, large bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, and separate bedroom with a king bed and fireplace. The accommodations are nice and spacious, but dated. The TV was an old tube tv and it didn't work, however they did repair it while we were out.

The property is off the beaten track. You don't end up there by accident. For my wife and I, this was a good thing. We loved the quiet, secluded surroundings. The only negative was that the only restaurant, sort of on site, is at the Golf course Clubhouse which is probably a couple of hundred yards uphill from the Inn. There are restaurants within a mile or two and a large grocery store at the top of the hill (1/2 mile away) on the road to the Inn.

My wife and I enjoyed staying at this property for 3 nights and we will be returning to do it again. With our busy and fast-paced L.A. Lifestyle, it's good to find a place that actually is peaceful and quiet. The Inn at Eagle Mountain fit the bill for us and didn't break the bank.
Btw: the golf course is one of my favorites in the entire state of Arizona.
