Description: The Melting Pot Restaurant is where fun is cooked up fondue style. Romantic for Couples and Great in a Group. Our Glendale restaurant is conveniently located in the Arrowhead neighborhood just on 59th Ave. N. just South of the 101 in the Citadelle Plaza. The modern yet warm casually elegant atmosphere sets the mood for a relaxing evening. The leisurely paced four-course experience begins with a cheese fondue prepared table side. A fresh salad follows while your entrée pot heats up. You’ll simmer a variety of tantalizing meats, seafood and vegetables. Each morsel is hot, fresh and delicious and all entrées are accompanied by an array of dipping sauces to add to the flavorful fun. Chocolate fondue is the finale, all served with decadent dippers. Most make reservations for the four-course dining experience but more than a few have stopped by to satisfy that cheese fondue or chocolate craving. Hand crafted cocktails and great wine list.

We finally went to The Melting Pot in Glendale after hearing great things. We were not disappointed at all. We had fantastic food and the best service ever! Ivan was our server and he made our first time here the best ever. My wife says it is her new favorite place to eat. It is a ton of food and a blast to relax here. If you ask for a curtain table for two, it is a private booth and very romantic. The four course meal is incredible and it is a lot of food! I can't even put into words how much fun we had! We sat for a three hour dining experience. Tony the manager took my reservation and asked if it was a special occasion. I told him it was just well deserved date night. He put us at a curtain table and the server knew I had said it was date night. Everything about this place was impressive. Thanks again Ivan!!!!!!!!!

If you have never been, don't be intimidated by the choices. Take your time and everyone has to pick the same broth, the same cheese, the same dessert. So you need to be able to agree on what you all like. The "dippers" are actually unlimited and you can use as many as you want.
This place is not cheap. It will cost about $40 per person without any drinks.

Kelly Coles ROCKS first of all. Go in, ask for her... you won't regret it. The rest of the staff is friendly too. The manager is always attentive and welcoming. Yes, the food is amazing and that is just "understood" when we go. Kelly makes the experience fun. She helped me find my favorite wine, helped my wife make my birthday awesome... and every other time we've been in has been as consistently cool. I love how she lets us try things before we commit to it... my wife is a picky eater.

We went here on Tuesday. A quiet night, we were served quickly and soon on our way to fonduing!!! After sticker shock we settled into serious decisions. We started with Wisconsin cheese which was delicious butnot quite enough for4 people. We had a few appetizers left. The salads were excellent and then on to the entree. We selected a broth base to fondue in and had beef, chicken, shrimp, pork combos (don't remember their names). When the dishes arrived we thought it would not be enough but that was deceiving. We had plenty in fact left a little pork and chicken. THEN we had the dessert!!! We selected the turtle chocolate ...yummy. We dipped strawberries, bananas, rice krispy bar, brownies, red velvet cake, marshmallows covered in coconut. Two of each for everyone. This was a nice place to go but expect at least 3 hours to enjoy it all. About$40.00 a person.

The ambiance is nice, the restaurant is very clean, very organized and the table service is good. What is inconsistent is the food quality. We once had a service spoon crushed garlic into our cheese pot that smelled strongly of having turned rancid/sour. We also had occasion where a server spooned in spices before asking if we were in agreement with the amounts. Unless taken as guests, this isn't a spot we're keen to revisit.

Thank heavens we had a coupon because The Melting Pot will nickel-and-dime you into a very expensive meal. The concept is cute, and the food is really very good--the sauces are outstanding and definitely the best part of the whole "experience."
Small, private (compliments of a curtain) booths make for more show than intimacy, but I suppose a young couple on a first date might disagree:). However, the table in the booth is not nearly large enough for fondue forks, regular tableware, plates, sauce pots, a plate of food to be cooked, wine and water glasses, and the fondue pot cooktop. The only light in the booth is above the hot cooktop, so diners should bring a flashlight if they want to safely read the menu!
The service was very uneven, although I can understand that with multiple servers whipping open the curtain with every course, they would get confused--but not very conducive to creating an intimate atmosphere.
Also, we were told "business casual" as a kind of dress code, but we saw men in jeans and t-shirts.
Will we return and pay full price? No.
