Review of Bellair Golf Club

Bellair Golf Club
Reviewed 7 June 2013

This facility has been part of our neighborhood since the 70's and has always enjoyed a loyal customer base. It has a full service bar area separate from the dining room and is a great place to enjoy a breakfast and/or lunch either before or after golfing on the very challenging par 59 executive course. There is a large outdoor dining patio facing east and well shaded but to be honest, the birds in the immediate area enjoy the food as much as the paying customers and can sometimes be demanding. There are daily menu specials as well as scheduled afternoon and evening entree offerings such as their fairly decent all you can eat fish fry on Tuesdays and Fridays (Fridays are usually very popular). You do not need to be a good golfer to visit Bellair's "Ironworks Restaurant" (which in my case, is a good thing). The restaurant also has special occasion and banquet facilities and can host weddings with an attractive lake as a photo background.

This is an executive type golf course. No par 5s and a par of 59 but it still has challenges on the course. Driving range, friendly staff and lessons are available. It is a nice course especially when you factor in the 20+ dollars to play. The bunker sand is pretty hard and the greens are in need of work but it's still a good tune up course.

Golf season in Phoenix is busy and can be very expensive, Bellair gives you a great course for a decent price.

Average course, better value if booked online with golfnow.com, staff was okay, some holes not marked well, as far as executive courses it was about average nothing really stood out as great with this place, it was cheap in the summer, easy to get too, and not too crowded.
