This was a great hotel, I had never really heard of this hotel before this, but I will now suggest it to anyone that asks. The housekeeping staff was friendly and hardworking. Everyone I met throughout the stay welcomed me with smiles. The front desk staff was very informative and did a good job at making me feel welcome and at home. GREAT JOB EVERYONE!

We vacationed in Glendale to spend time with our kids who live in the surrounding area. June 22-30.
WEATHER: Hot, very Hot; low 97, high 115 during the day... got tan!
HOTEL: Very clean and well maintained. Free wireless, 2 computers downstairs with free faxing and copies. Everything we asked for we got. They found an air compressor to fill our big air mattress, maintainance guy was prompt and kind, Larry, manager, went above and beyond to help us with our car rental arrangements and always said hi, Oscar went the extra mile to make sure we were happy with our room.
ROOM: Online pictures mostly show the 2 bedroom suite and are a little deceptive on the studio, which was far too small for 3 adults and a 5 year old (one queen bed, pull out couch). We approached Oscar, night manager, on our first evening and explained out circumstances. He offered to upgrade us to a 2 bedroom suite for a miminal fee - but in the end he didn't charge us... What a God send, it make a complete difference in our stay - much more space, believe me (2 separate bedrooms (kingsize beds) with bathrooms and TV, gahering area w/ TV, couch, and kitchen w/ sitting bar). The rooms are equipped with fridge, icemaker, micro, silverware, plates and wine glasses.
FOOD: Breakfast, i thought was good for the USA. Scrammbled eggs, waffle maker, yogurt, cereal, sausage or bacon, coffee and juice etc. Mostly the same everyday with small variations. The breakfast supervisor lady worked so hard to keep things fresh up till the last minute. Now the managers special surprised us in that they served full meals... like hamburgers/chili dogs/tacos/nacho bar and the fixins, plus all the wine and on tap beer you can drink! (Tues - Thurs, 5:30-7:00), saved us money a couple nights since we didn't have to buy dinner.
POOL: Waterfall, plenty of towels, sun protected cabanas with tables, 2 BQ's (perfect for families and teams) for personal grilling. Only thing i didn't realize was that we share the pool with the Holiday Inn. Only really crowded one night, but they don't have access to our hotel food.
SURROUNDINGS: There is a Cabellas sporting goods store right across the street.. We took our Grandson there after "Cars 2" movie was sold out... It was an expansive store with awesome taxadermy displays w/ Polar bears, elk, lions, elephants, deer, live fish ponds etc. There's an AMC movie theatre, ice cream shops, Margaritaville, sketchers, sub sanwiches and Mexican food by the Dome about a 15 minute walk (though in 110 degree heat it seems like an hour)..You can see that area from the hotel. If you turn 2 lefts out of the hotel you will find a Kohls, Ross and some clothing stores. Freeway is 2 minutes away. If you stay for more than 3 days i would recommend a car. 2 exits away there is a wal-mart and Costco. We got a shuttle from the airport thru a company called Lolla Express - 100.00 round trip and he stopped and let us buy groceries on the way to the hotel. We rented a car after we got there, because from the airport its over double the cost.
OVERALL: a wonderful hotel thanx to the exceptional staff who bend over backwards to serve You and your family. Thanx guys!

Room Tip: Studio room is 2 people max

This is my second Staybridge review. I Love the Staybridge in Glenview, Il. and have found I Love the Staybridge in Glendale / Phoenix, AZ. I will say if and when I have to research a hotel for any future trips I will first look to see if there is a Staybridge in the area. We spent a week at the Staybridge AZ to visit friends and do a little sight seeing. The area is a very nice, clean, safe area. It is true, there is not a grocery store in walking distance but there is a very nice outdoor mall with quite a few nice resturants and a theater in walking distance. There was a Frys about 8 minutes away by car, and a Walmart about 15 minutes. The hotel itself is very clean, and very quiet. For a couple of days that we were there the hotel was filled with teenagers as there was some sort of competition near by. A lot of teenage boys means alot of free breakfast food. The hotel kept up just fine. The hotel was left in a bit of a mess after the boys evenings but the hotel cleaned beautifully and quickly. The breakfasts are offered with a variety of eggs, sausage, bacon, or even one day we had hash. You can make your own waffles and each day they had a different topping. There is cereals, oat meal, fruit, cottage cheese, yogurt, milk, juices, breads and bagels for toasting and sweet rolls. I apologize if I am missing something, as you can read there was quite a variety. I love the rooms as they are a home away from home. Beds were clean and comfy. We had a room with a small balcony which was also a plus. The pool was open from 6am which I loved. and closed at 10pm I loved eating my breakfast by the tables just outside the dinning area listening to the little waterfall in the pool and visiting with my friend. As we were out and about everyday we did miss the couple of nights each week they have free wine and beer and munchy foods during certain hours. They did post a calender on the refrigerator with these days on it. The laundry facitities are free, just bring your own soap. I truly Thank the staff as they were very friendly and helpful. Especially the wonderful lady cooking breakfast every day. I had to ask if she lived there?
P.S. The hotel accommodates pets and you would not know it by looking or smelling it. It was nice to see our four legged little friends with a Welcome sign on the door.
Give Staybridge a try. I do not think you will be disappointed.

We stayed here for 4 nights to take in some sporting events. Hotel is very clean and rooms are comfortable and extremely clean. The staff was friendly but there felt they did not have the information to provide for where you can eat, what the attractions are, etc. The hotel is remote, a nice walk to the mall but since they don't have room service, there is no place to eat when you arrive late. The hotel has no brochures or information on attractions etc, which I thought they could provide, and also notify you where the closest restaurants are (there is one in Cabella's accross the street that we found out, but if people don't go in that store, you would not know). They have a small area to buy some items but there are no prices on them. Also, they ran out of water on Sunday and still didn't have any on Tuesday. On our second day, they ran out of some breakfast items with an hour left to go for breakfast. Also, they have free internet in the room and a couple at the front area to use. The internet speed was extremely slow and we could not load the page to pre-check in for our airline. It was so slow, it was almost impossible to do anything unless you had a lot of time. The hotel is new, but overall it was nice and quite. Just wish they had more information to provide like takeout places, what is available for entertainment, malls, etc. For the cost of the hotel, this would of been a great help! We did not have a car and as previous trip advisor comments stated, there is no where to get food unless u take a cab which would be $25 each way. Location was a quick walk to the NHL games which was a good thing as anywhere else is an expensive ride. The Arowhead mall is amazing and a $30 or so cab ride. This would be a great advertisement for this hotel as the ships around the arena are limited.

My group stayed in 2 adjoining rooms for the college football National Championship game in Univ of Phoenix Stadium. This is a super option for anyone attending a game at that stadium, an easy 15 minute walk. There is a very nice and new shopping/entertainment center (Westgate) before the stadium and a Cabelas next to the hotel. No traffic at all anywhere as you are on the west side of Phoenix.

Besides the great location, the hotel's staff was outstanding and met every need. No noise at night. We had a 2 BR suite with fridge, dishwasher and stovetop, very clean and new feeling. The informal breakfast was superb and front desk staff was helpful and friendly. There is a WalMart about 10 minutes south.

Even if you are not going to a game, the overall feel was top-notch for this price range and would work whenever in Phoenix for other reasons. This is by far one of the better suite/extended stay places I have stayed at.

I stayed here 2 nights for a Coyotes hockey game. This hotel is new and amazing. The interior is very nice. Rooms are tastefully decorated. The staff is so helpful and friendly. Rooms are large and have everything you need. And the bed was very comfortable, I had a good sleep! There is a kitchen too. But be aware that there are no groceries near the hotel. You'll need a car to get to a supermarket. Altough there is a small convenience-shop in the hotel. And nearby is the Westgate complex for shopping and dining. I liked the Johnny Rockets restaurant. Breakfast is included and is very good. The breakfast room is also good. The only minor thing is the remote location. You'll need a car to get around. There is a busstop nearby but the trip to Phoenix will take at least 80-90 minutes.

Went to Phoenix last week for a quick, last minute trip. Could not have been happier with our hotel. Hotel looks fairly new, very clean, wonderful resort style pool area. Only complaint is that they should have more than 6 rooms with balconies. We had a split visit, so on the first night had the balcony, and on the second did not. The balcony adds a lot to the room. Tues-Thurs they have free wine and beer and snacks, which is also a very nice touch. We've been to this area before, but this location is excellent. The whole Westgate complex is awesome!! Yes, we would stay again.
