This Inn is a gem surrounded by a college rich in history. I happened to book our room here because it was close to a hospice facility that my aunt was in, and the price was so reasonable. I was happily surprised and impressed with the comfort level, first rate customer service, amazing price, and beautiful grounds. I would definitely stay here again.

I have family in the area and always stay here when I come to visit. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly. The campus is expansive and beautiful, wonderful to stroll. It is modern and well-maintained with a feel of history. The rooms are well off the road, so very quiet. I feel safe here.

We stayed here for five days during spring training. The grounds are nicely landscaped and although the hotel rooms were fully booked, things were very quiet and peaceful. In the spring there are birds with songs that are unique to the desert, so we enjoyed morning walks accompanied by song!

The room is not large but is pleasantly appointed. The bathroom was squeaky clean and featured a walk-in shower. One particularly nice amenity is the second floor lounge area above the front desk with snacks and drinks available day and evening. Parking is a bit tight--there are not many spaces near the residences, though there are parking spaces available a short walk away. This would not have been a problem except that I have a slight walking disability. For most people it would not be an issue at all.

We've been going to Phoenix for spring training for years and have stayed at a variety of hotels. In my opinion, this is the best place we've stayed. Because the rooms are set back from the road, it's quiet and private. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. The only downside is that there aren't any places to eat in the immediate area, But then again, it's Phoenix--you're going to have a car, right?

Thank you for staying with us at the Thunderbird Executive Inn during your recent trip to Glendale for Spring Training. Our location on the Thunderbird School of Global Management campus offers a resort-like atmosphere with quiet walking paths (including many singing birds) and rich history dating back to WWII. With Spring training in full swing in March, and the hotel full, we're thrilled to hear you still found our location to be quiet and relaxing. Our dedicated staff works diligently to ensure each guest is taken care of and that we exceed your expectations for service and cleanliness. Thank you for your wonderful comments on both. We look forward to your return visit and seeing you enjoying the singing birds on your next stroll through the campus and hotel.

Comfortable, clean and quiet. The grounds are a great place for a stroll. The breakfast room has lots of great snacks to fortify your walk.
Our GPS tried to guide us to a destination across the street, but we could see the Thunderbird sign, so ignored the lady in the box!
We arrived without a reservation, but were made very welcome. Too bad there were no rooms available for the rest of our stay in Phoenix area. Next year we will book ahead of time for our entire stay.

Room Tip: Your GPS will take you close to the Thunderbird Inn, but tells you to turn the wrong way!

My wife and I stayed here this March with the Road Scholar organization for Spring Training Baseball. The facility is great because it is part of a university campus so lots a places to walk and explore the grounds, buildings, and pub! Also, the campus has a rich WWII air corp history to investigate. The rooms are very nice and clean, and if attending any meetings here, the lecture hall we used was very comfortable and modern. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Also, the common room with complementary snacks and beverages was a significant plus. Also, for Spring training not a long drive to many of the surrounding ball parks. Oh - did I mention the Pub on campus....

We're thrilled that you found your stay at the Thunderbird Executive Inn with Road Scholar to be a great one. The history of the campus dates back to WWII with pictures and the original air traffic control still located on-site, there's plenty to experience on-campus. Providing a comfortable room and great service is our goal everyday! We're glad to hear we accomplished that for you. Thank you for experiencing all that Thunderbird has to offer. We look forward to seeing you again in the near future!

March 15, 2014. Stayed one night. Upon arrival your first thought is, am I at the right place? It does not look like a hotel, Inn or motel. Not sure how many acres are in the whole training facility, but it is big. We stayed in the two story, main facility. The grounds were well kept and clean. Our room was very spacious and clean also. On the second floor is a snack area for fruit, cereal, juice and coffee, included with your stay. I give the highest marks to the sleep quality; best bed and quietest place I have ever stayed. All rooms are set back from the street quite a way, so there is no traffic noise. The only negative is the amount of parking. I am guessing most customers (students) arrive by other transport than private car, so they have allotted less space to parking.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the courtyard may be better than those facing the parking lot.

If you want to stay somewhere quiet, extremely clean and beautiful, this is the place to stay. We stayed in 9 different hotels on our trip and this one was the very best in every way. We will come here every year. We were down in Arizona for some spring training games.

Room Tip: All rooms were excellent, no bad ones at all. Very quiet, clean and the bed was amazing.
