My wife and I spent 1 night at the Jerome Grand Hotel in May. It was great. You can walk from the hotel to the main part of town to shop & eat. We ate at the Asylum restaurant in the hotel - it was the best meal we had during our week in AZ. If you like historic hotels with friendly staff, stay here.

My husband and I stayed here with a group from a mining field trip. We took over all the rooms and while some of us had a view of the mountainside, our view was great! We had room 34 on the third floor with a balcony facing the Jerome and Verde Valley. The bathroom was large and modern. The part that made it memorable was the fact that the restoration kept many of the original fixtures including the 1926 elevator. The rooms were decorated with antiques or nice reproductions. The morning view from our balcony was the best! Our group ate in the Asylum restaurant located at the Hotel and the food was delicious and the bar was well stocked. I couldn't tell what the prices were like since it was included on our trip. I'd love to come back here and explore the area.

We stayed 2 nights at the Grand Hotel and loved it! I couldn't imagine staying in any room other than the valley view - it was spectacular.

We stayed at the Jerome Grand for 1 night and did the ghost tour as well. Check in was easy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The original Otis elevator was so neat and fun! We booked a basic 1 queen bed/ mountain view room. The room was a good size and the bed and linens were SO comfortable! The bathroom was decent sized as well and very clean.

The highlight of our stay was definitely the ghost hunt! Even if you don't believe in the whole ghost thing, I'd still recommend going on the tour just for the historical aspect. When they turned the building into a hotel, they kept around 95% of the original building. The doors to the rooms are all original, just as they were doors to hospital rooms. We found out our room on the 4th floor was a maternity room back in the day. The call bell lights are above the doors and on the ceilings of the hallways - little interesting details like this I would have missed had I not taken the tour. It's $20 and well worth it!

Overall we had a great stay and were sad we only got to stay for one night. No ghosts for us... guess there's always next time!

On a recent motorcycle road trip with my wife we managed to spent two nights at the Grand Hotel, and what a grand time we had. No reservations (I love that part). We just pulled up in front of the hotel, got off the bike, went in and asked if they had a room. To our surprise and joy they did. Our room was on the second floor with a view of the town of Jerome, AZ. and the valley below. Very comfortable beds and the bath was great. We wanted to stay here because of its history as being haunted by different ghost. We were not disappointed. On our second night we took the ghost tour along with a few other guest, I recommend. The tour is very interesting and fun. We took lots of pictures and found different energies throughout the hotel with our ghost meter. No encounters or any visions of ghost, but lots of photos of orbs. The Asylum restaurant and bar is terrific. The bartender, Micheal, was very easy and fun he really made our stay extra special with his stories and knowledge of the area, plus showing me a couple of secluded spots on the property to enjoy a cigar. The restaurants food, service, and ambiance was over the top. The waiters were right there when you needed them and never intrusive. A very beautiful and fun property and we will return for some more ghost hunting in the future.

Room Tip: Next time we go we will get a room on the third floor with a balcony. Some construction is going on...

We loved the hotel and our room! We reserved a balcony room and it was great!! We sat there a good portion of the evening admiring the fantastic views! The guy who leads the ghost tour was on vacation so the front desk clerk let us use the "ghost meter" and walk around the hotel on our own! So we ventured off on our ghost hunt and I think we hit every possible area of the hotel looking for ghosts... We had no problems sleeping and amazed that it was so cool since there is no air in the rooms, just the hallway, and we closed the hatch which lets the cold air into the room. We would definitely go back and stay if in Jerome again! It is a little pricey but you pay for the ambiance! It is like staying in a museum!!

Room Tip: The balcony rooms have great views and provide extra sitting room!

We originally saw this hotel on Ghost Adventures on the travel channel. Being very interested in the paranormal and consequently also going to AZ to visit our daughter, we made reservations at this lovely place. We, of course, took a ghost tour, and got photos of lots of orbs. Some of the other guests were lucky enough to hear ghostly noises in their rooms, but unfortunately ours was quiet. But we do plan to return. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and wonderful menu. The staff were all friendly and they sold unique souvenirs in their shop. The most interesting thing, I thought, was the original elevator, which has never broken down since put in the hotel. It took us 30 seconds to reach our 3rd floor. It had the wire cage like dual doors and at night, when you took photos into the shaft, there were hundreds of orbs! Whether you like ghosts or not, this is a fine place to visit, and the town is full of interesting places and ghost stories!
